I personally prefer Shadouge over Knouge. I like Knouge too but not as much as Shadouge.

Knouge is fun 'cause Knuckles has such short temper and Rouge seems to love pushing his buttons. But with Shadow is a complete different matter since that hedgehog has a lot of short fusses! Worse that Knuckles so I can see Rouge getting better enjoyment of pushing HIS buttons. She's a lucky gal, mind you. She got 2 to choose from. 

Rouge: "Hmmm... I'm in a happy mood. I'll go pick on Knuckly."
Rouge later on: "Man, I really want to play with fire right now! Lets go see Shadow!!!"

Yeah lol. Knouge is like the funny/cute couple while Shadouge is more about romance and loyalty (Rouge is pretty loyal to Shadow from what I've seen) Sometimes they are referred as the "Dark Couple"

Both couples are really sweet
