Truly beautiful picture!
Too bad for the little fish, though, but fishes have to eat, and that's the circle of life, or something like that.

What kind of editing software did you use for the fish? TheΒ background looks very cool. Nice job.

Interesting. I don't think I could compete with that in Photoshop though.

This is usually the part where the Gousim shrews and their logboats ready their slings and bows and start rounding up their dibbuns XP
This pic looks amazing! Β I love Pike, they're amazing-looking fish. Β River Barracudas I call them >u<
...I wonder what they taste like...

They taste actually really good, if you've ever had Walleye, they're almost the same. But I still eat other fish more often due to only one person in my family knowing how to get the bones out.

Never even heard those buts thanks anyway. ^^
Pike sure are like alligators or barracudas.

I refer, of course, to the awesome book series Redwall, by the late Brian Jacques...really good reads. ^^
Indeed they are. Β I think we can find Muskies (Muskellunge or something like that) over here, though I'm not actually sure. Β They are a variation of Pike/Barracudas/fit a similar niche

They taste delicious, but there are a lot of tiny bones, you need to clean them carefully before preparing the flesh for eating.Β Also, when you catch them they exude a lot of slime!

That makes sense, they're a competitive predatory fish that deal with larger fish of the same species that are cannibalistic...
Maybe I shall take up sport fishing in the future...

For sure, even the small ones can snap pan fish line and put up a fight. They have a good reason to be my favorite fish!Β Β

"The Northern pike is an impressive fish, isn't it? It represents beauty, elegance, stealth, and power. Truly a marvelous fish in my opinion. But one should also note that Northern Pike are very hard to catch due to their aggression and strength."

Tbh, Pike are quite easy to catch using the right stuff. But without braid or leader, you may loose a few jigs and lures indeed.
