Sorry about the title, god god damn, his design is just so PATRIOTIC.
I was gonna name him Liberty, but I decided on Pthalos because it 1. it sounds so rad 2. That's the shade of blue I used to color him (well, his pants).

Build and Physical Traits: Pthalos is an average-sized male, and is quite strong and muscular. He has fantastic stamina, which is very useful in his occupation when he has to walk run for a long period of time. He is able to lift heavy objects, which is another attribute that is useful for his job. Unfortunately, he is slightly clumsy, and is not very agile; he isn't very fast as well. He is quite inflexible, and is trying to work on this through yoga.

Occupation: Pthalos works at the Postal office in New York. He's reckless and a bit of a risk-taker, so he is usually the one to deliver parcels and letters to areas outside New York's protective dome. He travels the world delivering mail, and he LOVES that.
He would make a fantastic ecologist, but never got the proper education to become one.

Likes: Traveling, nature, flying, feeling superior, his independence, learning, working, freedom
Dislikes: Being tied down, feeling helpless, fires, people treating nature badly, doing nothing

Personality: There are two first impressions that people develop when meeting Pthalos: the first one is that he is a stuck-up, egotistical douchebag, and the second one is a mysterious, flirty douchebag; both are not far from the truth. Thal is generally a jerk to others, and he constantly tries to one-up people to make them feel less-superior than him. He is fiercely competitive in essentially anything: whether it be in his job, in a sport, or just trying to woo a partner, he will constantly try to defeat someone in everything. Surprisingly, he doesn't make many friends, and he is seemingly okay with that.

There is much more to Thal that meets the eye than this. His ego and bad attitude is more-or-less a shell he hides in to hide his true colors. Don't get me wrong, he's STILL a pretty rude guy, but there's more to him than that. He has serious trust issues, and has a tendency to judge people right off the bat: if he thinks you're stupid, he won't be your friend, simple as that! If someone is actually able to befriend him though, he can be a completely different guy. He is fiercely loyal and protective over people he cares about, and he can be quite generous as well: when he does someone a nice deed though, he will usually use a bunch of excuses like "I just did that because you're not COMPLETELY stupid,". He is hesitant about letting people know how he REALLY feels about them, but deep down, he REALLY loves his friends and would do almost anything for them.

If Pthalos ever went to school, he would have been very intelligent, but that's not the case. When he is interested in something, he becomes VERY dedicated to the topic: he will constantly try to learn new things about it, and can practically become an expert in that area.

Bio: Pthalos was born in a family that didn't really want him, particularly his father. He was painfully aware of this at a young age, so he would always try to prove his worth to his parents by showing them useful tricks and skills he possessed; his mother was impressed and more closely bonded to him, but his father never cared too much. They lived in a small house in New York until Thal was 7: one night, Pthalos was playing with fire, and he managed to burn down their whole house in an attempt to impress his parents with his fire-making skills (to this day, Pthalos is still afraid of fire). The family had no choice but to move out of New York's protective dome, and live outside the reserve. They lived in a fairly luxurious tent for tent-standards, but their living conditions were still poor. Pthalos's father quickly died due to his strange sensitivity to the pollution, which left Thal and his mother on their own. Thal's mother was frequently ill due to her age, so most of the work had to be done by Pthalos, which was difficult, but he was very independent for his age. While living outside the reserve, Thal grew an obsessive fascination with nature and it's current state; to this day, he still likes to travel off the reserve and spend time there to think. He has grown a strong resistance to it's pollution, but he frequently receives migraines from the time he spends outside.

His mother later got a part-time job, and when Thal was 14, they had enough money to buy a small apartment in New York. Shortly after, Pthalos got 2 part-time jobs: one at a Dairy Queen, the other at a Corner Store. Because of his busy life, he was never able to get an education. When he was 18, he got a job at a Parcel Delivery company, and he LOVED it. He quickly became a high-ranked worker, shipping packages outside the reserve, and even outside America! He travels the world frequently, and he still lives in his small apartment (his mother lives in a retirement home).

THAT TOOK A LONG TIME, HOLY SHIT.
I've grown really attached to his character, so I hope that i get him maybe perhaps hopefully (probably not)
And if i DO get him, I want him to have some friends/rivals/whatever
