Well, this is long overdue. I feel like I could have put a lot more effort into this, but I can't help it: I'm just not much of a fan-artist. I hardly ever feel the need to dedicate as much effort to fanart as I do my personal artwork. I guess it just feels more personal to draw the characters I created, even though this show gives me so much inspiration and feels.

Ignore this paragraph if you don't care about the show itself. I warned ya xP. I FREAKING LOVE STEVEN UNIVERSE. It amazes me for the mere fact that it's a "kid show" that knows how to deal with gray morality and mature concepts. It looks like a sillier, more childish version of Regular Show at first glance, but let me tell you right now that it is not. I like Regular Show, but Steven Universe surpasses it greatly for me. Not only does it contain plenty of humor and plots that adults could easily enjoy (I've even suspected some sexual innuendo in there if you have that kind of mindset), but it gets pretty complex and emotional at times. I think it's just a genre that I absolutely adore, and it's the kind of thing I'm going for in my webcomic, so it is VERY inspirational to me. It's slowly teaching me more about pacing and once again, the nuance. I love the nuance. It's is just beautiful. This show makes you think a little bit sometimes. And yes, it is told in a way that kids will understand. But it doesn't insult their intelligence like most cartoons these days do. Also, Ruby and Sapphire is my OTP (in this show at least haha).

I love all the Gems, but I decided to draw Amethyst because she was the first one to appeal to me in the show, and I love her personality. I think I'm sort of like a combination of Amethyst, Pearl, and Peridot (personality-wise).

Anyways, here's my first small tribute to my favorite show.
