I know this is a wee bit late... I'm not crying anymore. But, once I started this, I had to finish it, because my entire goal in drawing this was to let out some emotions and hopefully to inspire my friend.

I started singing in the shower- haha, yeah- and I was singing that sad revamp of "I'm So Happy To Be A Cat" from Lucky and Zorba, which plays later in the movie during the sad scene where poor Lucky is walking through the rain and all that jazz. And I thought, "Shut up and sing something happy, ya moron!" So, I started singing the other version. And then, I started singing "So Volare," which is Italian for "I Can Fly." I sang the English version, of course, hehe. Sadly, I can't find any of the songs online in English except for this one: [link] It just kind of says "Haha! We're so awesome and we can go through life without a care in the world!" So, that's the first panel.

I'm not gonna lie. Even after drawing this, it took a lot for me to finish outlining it because the middle panel would stab me in the heart every time I looked at it long enough. For the next couple weeks, I couldn't think about it AT ALL without starting to tear up. It's weird how you can ignore something for a long time and when you finally try to address it, it tries to rip your heart out in retaliation. (This panel was also inspired by this video: [link] Seriously, guys, I cried the first few times I watched it, too. But, it's just so worth it...)

The last panel is my favorite. The top one is all happy and fun, but we're kind of the unsuspecting victims up there. :I But, the third panel says, "I took every blow you hit me with and I still persevered." (The original version is in Italian, but I still love it! The tune is still perfect. [link] And one way or another, that's going to happen. We're going to take back what we had and SO MUCH MORE! Nothing short of death can stop us- and I've flooded myself with worst case scenarios, so I'm not exaggerating.

I don't mean to go all emotional here- I'm aware that this stuff can be painful to go into- but that was kind of the point of this picture. It's one of the few emotion-driven pictures I've drawn, and it means so much. So... just... hang in there and look to the future. We're gonna blow through this and destroy everything in our path- and we can be crazy little bosses the entire way.
