Nice. Out of curiosity do you have the dlc stuff?

Yeah, I do. To be honest, the main quest ending would've kind of sucked if it wasn't for Broken Steel...

I haven't actually played the game, but isn't it something like aΒ "oh, I've got lots of people in my party who eat radiation for breakfast, but, no, I have to go into the room of death all by my freakin' self to avoid the game branding me a coward (instead of just plain-as-the-nose-on-your-face sensible)" sort of thing?

Yes, that is actually the perfect summary of the situation. I absolutely don't understand why I'd have to pointlessly get myself killed when there's a perfectly capable and friendly companion who has already demonstrated that he's radiation resistant. But nooo, apparently unnecessary self-sacrifice is the only way to be a "true hero".

Especially for a true hero, who by combining all his/her survivability-enhancing perks with powerarmour and a dose of Rad-X should easily be able survive in there for a little while .

Indeed. There are some question I haven't figured out about the companions for example. How the hell did Butch get to rivet city? Β Also what do you think of the other dlc stuff?

Yup. Have to compensate somehow for having such low strength and endurance.

If there's one thing I absolutely adore about Fallout 3 is watching our Lone Wanderer grow up from a baby all the way to the badass adult she becomes. Btw, wonderful art as usual .

Same! I love what they did with the tutorial in this game. Getting "press W A S D to walk" when starting a new RPG always feels a bit silly like "yeah, lol, mighty hero has to be instructed how to walk", but here it was incorporated to the game so nicely as literal baby steps. Also, I always love when the player character gets some background.

It does make it rather horrifying though if you plan on making an evil character. It makes me think, "So this baby I'm playing as is going to be one of the biggest assholes in the wasteland. That father right in front of me is going to be very disappointed." Which reminds me that my own Lone Wanderer accidentally started out Evil but it allowed me to recruit Jericho in Megaton and Clover in Paradise Falls, both of which requires Evil karma, before I slowly turn Good again. Clover is still my companion for now, at least until I reach someone more powerful like Fawkes.

Kind of, only with guns. At this point I have Small Guns skill maxed (plus some accuracy/damage/action point increasing perks) so I don't have to rely on sneak attacks quite as much anymore.

Before you try seeking Vengeance in the Deathclaw Sanctuary, it would be prudent to acquire the T-51b from the Op. Anchorage DLC. That Power Armor never wears down. There's also a suit of Chinese Stealth Armor there.

Good to see I am not the only one who max INT XD
Still how DO you survive without a good powerarmor? XD

Why have any armor? Grimy Business-wear is the way to go

Sneak. Headshots. Yeah, and having Fawkes and his bigass laser doesn't hurt either, haha.
