Description
I told myself I won't do any more of these not-so-original stuff anymore, but when they shape up nicely, I can't resist finishing them up. Anyway, I've done this particular work before [link]I hope I might add another character later (not simba) that would integrate a bit of plot into this.
I like these night colors, they are quite smooth and easy on the eyes. And yes, my second art for the day. I might start doing more night scenes.
UPDATE: Ok, I'm gonna put Rafiki in, from all the interesting possibilities. Here's the dialogue as I see it, after the graveyard incident.
Mufasa: I cannot lose him.
Rafiki: And you won't. He's only a child Mufasa, and he will learn your forefather's wisdom through you. And until that time, you will have to run and save him when he gets himself into trouble.
Mufasa: But I can't always have him in my sight.
Rafiki: He's not alone.

I love Mufasa's expression. He looks sad adn angry at the same time. A perfect mix of emotions for the scene!

adding Scar with a look of pleasure from Mufasa's disapproving expression would be awesome Perhaps Scar talking cooly about Simba being "such a bad boy" after the graveyard incident and in a way, Mufasa blames himself for not keeping a closer eye on his son.

interesting. I'm gonna use that context, but with another character (which I've already done halfway). But I like the idea of Scar and Mufasa having a chat later on that day. Maybe Scar's way of saying goodbye, since his plan is all set for the next day.

Ooooo... I see the concept here... NICE!
You should do one with Mufasa looking up at his father in the skies. (Almost like when Simba sees Mufasa in the clouds).

Nice. ^^
Just seeing this makes me feel concerned for Mufasa. Just what thoughts could be plaguing his mind, is unknown. But I'm sure someone might try to uncover them.

You're welcome.
I'm a HUGE fan of Lion King myself. Mufasa ranks number 1 on my list of top 5 favorite characters from the films.
