It's not mentioned anywhere that Scar killed his father. But it would make sense of all-benevolent Mufasa's lack of empathy towards his brother.And if I may draw more mythology into this, why Scar hates the song "It's a small world" is because Ahadi used to sing it to them when they were cubs, and it reminds of him of his treachery. I'd like to hear from you guys some more theories, against or pro.
UPDATE: A lot of 'against' theories are based on the fact that Mufasa would banish Scar from the Pride, had he seen his brother's act. Very agreeable. He wouldn't want a killer loose among his loved ones. But still, according to the canon, Mufasa forgave Scar when he tried to set a buffalo on him (which went wrong and gave taka the scar in return). Could it be that Scar pleaded with Mufasa and he forgave him? or maybe even Mufasa didn't really see Scar pushing Ahadi off the cliff, but just got there in time to see Scar standing there... putting on an act as he tried to save their father, but he lost the grip?
======What we learned======
Mufasa doesn't know Scar pushed him over. He looked like he was helping him. But something at the back of his mind nabs at Mufasa. Scar's story doesn't add up. He would keep an eye on his brother from then on.

Mufasa[in anger]: You killed our father, your father.
Scar[in bigger rage]: YOUR father, not mine. He was never a father for me. He never cared about me.
Mufasa: That isn't true.
Scar[roars]: Don't start lecturing me, Mufasa!
Mufasa: You certainly need it, little brother.
Scar[roar again]: Is that a challenge?!

Taka: Mufasa! Quick! Tend to Sarabi, I've got this.
Mufasa: Thank you, this won't be forgotten. (leaves)
Taka: (waits till he's gone and turns to Ahadi) No... it won't.
Ahadi: Quickly son, help me! I'm losing my grip.
A moment passes as Taka looks down on the father who had been anything but a father to him, maybe weighing his choices, knowing this will send him down one inevitable path... and then latches onto Ahadi's paws with his claws, anchoring himΒ in place. Ahadi lets out a pained roar. When he looks back up he sees all the hate, all the anger... all the pain...glaring down into his eyes.
Scar: Help will always be given, Father, to those who earn it...
And then Scar tosses Ahadi off the cliff into a river... or a stampede, you never know. He might have orchestrated it the same way for Mufasa because it worked so well the first time.

Ahadi: AHG! Taka.. son.. help me! *He starts slipping*
Taka/Scar: *Pushes his claws in his fatherβs paws.* After everything you did to me? You expect me to help you?

It is an interesting theory. It makes more sense if Mufasa thinks Scar's helping his father rather than tossing him off, because canon tells us that, whatever else he thinks of him, Mufasa obviously trusts Scar, even to the point to let his son and heir hang out with him.
I do want to point out that the water buffalo story is not canon. The books that story comes from were written by authors who got permission from Disney to publish them, but they are in no way considered official by Disney. So how Scar got his, well, scar, is still open to interpretation.

I actually love this theory, because I can imagineΒ Ahadi always choosing Mufasa over Taka and maybe even giving him the scar. However I'd imagine Mufasa not being there, or coming just to witness Ahadi falling and Scat putting on a fake "sad/scared" face.

I like your theory, but I don't think Taka killed Ahadi. He had no need to really kill his father he would Β have eventually pass away and Taka would have been a lot weaker at the younger age too.

lol. Just can't help it from a Disney fan standpoint, but the "it's a small world" bit in the movie was a joke, poking fun at how everyone says that the "Small world" ride annoys them. Don't know why, though. It's one of my favorite Disney World memories. Oh well.
Also, the books--though I think they are cute--are as legit as "2 movies," meaning they are often not written by the original creators. In other words, well-paid fan fiction by Disney. But I still like movie-based Disney books and 2 movies a lot, even if they are often not as good as the originals. (...except Mulan 2. That...was horrible...)
Still, I wouldn't put it past Scar to have killed off his father.

Since we don't really see a lot of Ahadi, maybe he's already dead by the time Mufasa gets there. Mufasa would want to believe his brother's innocence, which he could play off like he'd just gotten there and tried to stop the bleeding.
