Boxes with things
Boxes with boxes in

Boxes with boxes
With things that I own
That remind me of you
That remind me of home

Boxes with things
helping me forward
Boxes with things
holding me back

Boxes and cases
With things that I love
And things that I
Don’t dare let go

Things that will come
And things that will pass
Kept for a while

Is returned in the end

I have been thinking a lot about things these last few years, and the positive and negative impact they have on our lives. Possessions can help you reach your goals, keep in touch with your family and friends, clothe you and give you the ability to live a safe and happy life. On the other hand, possessions can overwhelm you, make your lose your focus, make you lose time in cleaning and organizing them that you could have spent reaching for your dreams. Things can be a blessing and a burden. When I saw this man on the street waiting to move his things I thought he looked so little compared to his things. Almost invisible.
