Scary that it is just beautiful on first attempt, but finding the 3 (or more?) spiders the whole scene changes for me.
Now it is a beautiful and also disguesting scenery!
Great combination of getting sympathies for the Muse and her situation!

Howesome !!!! It's look like an engraving, if you know what I mean... I don't know the term in english... But this kind of drawing exist clearly to be made by engraving !!!

Thank you som much! That was kind of the look I was going for, except I don't want to work with engravings. I like seeing the final product in front of me as it is going to look in the end. This way I can stop at any time.

Really? I don't think it would be better with colour. There is just something about the greyscale that makes everything so strange. Because we are always used to viewing things in colour.

I agree completely. The use of greyscale here is what works for this piece (and most of your gallery). It's bold and (after looking at some of your other work) I think it's part of what defines your style. I was curious about how the visual aesthetics might benefit were it to appear in colour, that's all.

I didn't mean I was going to color it in, it'd look terrible. I'm a writer, not an illustrator.

Gorgeous! the amount of details is amazing. And I don't know how to say it properly in english, but it'll be something like: I love that she's the focus in the picture because her pale skin and the simplicity in the shadows in it. You didn't need to detail her skin too much to make her look so beautiful as it is now.
Hope this make sense xD
Definitely a from me!
