No, you are not. I thought roman numbers would be appropriate for this kind of old-style work.

You did it again, I admire this laborious work, about the concept, I adore women mixed with nature, and those rabbits are funny

Hehehe. It is meant to be the dryads( or forest nymphs), rabbits and butterflies saluting the spring that is coming. And also, if you squint at the background you can also see a "double meaning". Something else that has to do with fertility.

I'm soooooo glad this is in black and white, it has whimsy feeling that isn't too coercive, and the bunnies aren't too cute (just cute, by their very nature, which is also wild.). The intricate shading and texture is astounding.
Mistakes? A couple profiles look wierd, but that's pretty minor.
I love seeing work like this, that comes straight from the imagination, that's why I like surreal works.

That is good to know! I know some of the profiles could have been better, but better next time.

I see a lot of good work in your portfolio - maybe add some of it to our private Visionary Art network (and thus get it onto your page in the public VA Gallery [link] )

Thank you so much! I don't know why I haven't gotten around to it, there has just been so much to do. Obviously, as I am answering this message over a year late. Is it still possible for me to use the visionary art network page? I don't think I remember any password or anything at all.

actually I loved the pen strokes all the little lines like engravings and the feeling of times past. I love the bunny theme of course as it represents springtime, aries, the sprouting seed and mating time.

I'm stuck. I don't know where to start.
Today I've been catching up on all the deviations I have missed out on during the year, and I've been typing for 5 hours now. I think I've almost used up my words for the day!
I should have known better, and started with your gallery first. But I'm sure if I did that, then I would have no words left for any other artwork!!!
One of the first things my art teacher said in yr9 was about shading. She asked us all to draw a picture of a glue-stick, and then asked us how we shaded it. I was feeling very stupid after this class, because she told us, "You know, there are more ways to shade in something besides simply smudging" and I thought, What?! And then she introduced us to the wonders of cross-hatching, dotting, lines and other techniques.
Whenever I look at your artworks, I'm certain that my old art teacher would have used any one of your drawings as an example to testify her statement. Looking at the skin of the people alone, I can see parallel lines and cross hatching creatively used by you to shade. Thinking back, you have always used crosshatch to shade pictures, and I have noticed, but this is the first time I think I have really focused on your use of that technique.
The way the ground "fades" into that patch of light is an excellent example of how hatching can create the image of haziness, and a fantastic way to merge background and foreground.
Across that white bit, I also just love the paralel lines, broken down the middle, to create the image of light right down the centre of that light patch. Light withing light.
As always, I admire your drawing of the forest leaves and twigs, entertwined and confusing, complicated and a feast for the eyes.
All in all, another amazing picture by IT Hammar.
Oh, and the rabbits are cute

I am so glad you discovered cross-hatching! I think it is the best way to shade, at least my preferred one. The great thing about it is that you can keep everything sharp, even if the light in the picture is hazy. Now I nearly never use pencil anymore, just because I prefer that crispness I get with the nib.
And, once again, I cannot even begin to say how much I appreciate your long in-depth comments. Thank you so much for taking the time to look, and let me know what you think

Jealousy can be good. I find jealousy often helps me to first get angry, and then just try harder.
