It's been a while since my last tutorial!
I see a lot of artists having trouble separating backgrounds from sketches, and there's actually a very easy way to do it. I'd taken these screenshots a while ago with that in mind and finally had some time today to put them together. I'm sure there are other ways to do it, but this is how I go about it. The shortcuts are for Mac but I'm sure you can find the ones for Windows with a quick Google search. Hope this'll be useful to someone! ♥︎
(This is not a tutorial for complete beginners, it's aimed for those who know the basics of PS)
