OK, so Godzilla never actually battled Gamera in the movies, but my friend Jenny wanted to take some pictures of my Gamera costume versus my Godzilla costume. Gamera was my entry in the CONvergence 2007 Masquerade, while Godzilla was my entry in the CONvergence 2009 Masquerade. Since I couldn't be in both costumes at once, my friend Todd Madson suited up as Gamera, while I took on the role of Godzilla.This picture was taken outside at Hyland Lake Park Reserve in fall 2009. Jenny's husband Larry took this photo, while Jenny took the professional-quality photos that day. Doing this outside in a park reserve meant that a few confused hikers occasionally came by, wondering why two green monsters were fighting in the woods.

Great Job! You ought to post this n the Replica Prop Forum as there are a lot of Godzilla fans there. I also like making reptilian themed costumes, and my Bossk won the Best StarWars Villain prize at Star Wars Celevation V in Orlando. My Bossk and my Draconian also won the Masquerade at Dragon-Con the Draco led the parade last year. You can see them both on the RAWR! site, which if you don't know about it, you should post your costumes there. If you don't know about it I can send you a link. I need to post my costumes here on DA too.
I am now working on a GIANT Godzilla for Dragon Con but didn't think of the glowing spines. Cool idea. Would you be interested in selling some spines?

Gamera is like the long lost cousin of Godzilla. Gamera were made by people who worked on Godzilla. YOu can see the similarities in design and even the name starts with a G and 3 syllables.
