the whole spearhead design i think looks cool, and is a refresher from the classic battlestar layout. I'd tried this before on my Loki-class strikestar [link] but wanted to try it larger. and so I began work on the Seaxneat-class Battlecruiser.
i finished about 90% of it in the first day of work on it, and then the panneling progressed slowly, ending up with almost a weeks worth on and off of work.

Story:
when the Heracles class Battlecruiser was introduced, a rival contractor, Alpha foundries, begun work on a compeditor. begun designing a similar ship, but with viper content.
because of the companies agressive hording nature, it used mostly its own engineered products. most of the computer systems and guns were their own design, except for the main guns. it also used alot of older equipment, like cylon war era scanners. this made the ship easy to produce and cheap.
the ship eventually had the combined firepower of the Heracles, but in wargames, could not exert it all at once at a single target. this made the colonial navy choose the Heracles over the Seaxneat, but it still purchased two Seaxneat-class ships, because they were so cheap.
during the cylon attack, the Seaxneat was the only comissioned ship, her sister had not finished construction yet. when the cylons came, the Seaxneat was refueling off a tanker. the cylons fires a single missile at the tanker, destroying it and its volotile tylium, and the fuel in the pipeline ignited the fuel tanks of the Seaxneat. the ship was blown in half by the explosion, and most of the crew vented into space. the basestar left and cylon raiders and centurions scanned the ship for usefull items. the whole crew was lost.

*chuckles* I like it. Engines off the Gorgon and a nice wedge form hull like the Heracles. Excellent work!

thanks. i like the engines on gorgon, cause their short and new, there arent very manny parts for post war ships in the forum.

Nice little boat.

My only critic is that the RCS Burners on the ships aft should be installed more umm...behinder (if that is a word), because it SHOULD make the ship more manuverable horizontally.

I dunno the truth to that, my Physics suck.

Great job anyway.

I'm pretty good at physics if i dont sayso myself, but i dont really get what you mean. do you mean the thrusters should be furhter back, or is it their angle you dont like?

thanks anyway!

I mean further back. I was thinking that engines at the tip of a ship need less force to turn it. Kinda like a stick. It's easier to rotate a stick from the tip rather than closer to the centre

well, with them angled forwards slightly, that might help. also, there isnt enough room furhter back, and i cant really be bothered, im happy with it as it is! thanks for the comment though!

Well, it is your ship, so suit yourself!

Nice company involvement there.

in my perspective, i think the building of ships for the colonials is contract based, alot like the companies Lockheed martin, Mcdonald douglas, Boeing, BAE, Dassault, that kinda thing.
