Description
I have been designing and planning these guys out for FOREVER, so I hope you like 'em! Get ready for a debut of seven new characters ^^ Here we go!, time for y'all to meet Celeste, Acanthus, Calliope, Padparadscha, Lunule, Mellifera, and Duchess!

Named after her distant Great Aunt Celestia, Celeste prides herself in showing the best of both sides of her heritage. She is always proper and kind in public, but also has no problems reminding everyone that she is the oldest hatchling of Duke Blueblood and King Thorax (if only by a few minutes). Celeste does her best in learning the world of the aristocrats and elitists in Canterlot and regularly attends meetings with her fathers to excel even farther. And although she is as sweet as she is smart, when Celeste is upset, she rages with the force of a natural disaster. This showed very clearly in her childhood, when she had less control of her emotions and was prone to turning everything in their home upside down until her tantrum ended. But now, as an adult, Celeste tries to act with the grace and dignity that is expected of her from the high-end society of Canterlot.

Acanthus, second oldest grub to Blueblood and Thorax, is obvious in his interest for changeling culture rather than that of Canterlot society. He doesn’t look like much of a bookworm, but he’ll check out texts and tomes from libraries all over Equestria to learn more about the history of his kind. And when he’s not doing that, Acanthus loves spending time with his Uncle Pharynx. They’ll spar regularly, something that most changelings gave up once they reformed. But Uncle Pharynx tells him that it keeps them on the tips of their hooves and prepared for anything, which Acanthus lives for. Thorax and Blueblood try raising their children with lessons of peace and friendship, and while Acanthus might vaguely understand the need for both, he greatly prefers to be ready for a brawl.

Even though she is a middle child, Calliope is anything but forgotten. She is the biggest Daddy's Girl Canterlot has ever seen and constantly tries to have as much of Blueblood's attention as possible. She possesses the beauty and grace that her oldest sister always wanted and knows it. Calliope is more than happy to coyly flaunt herself to the bachelors and bachelorettes of high society to build up her allure, and is completely confident in herself. She studies art, specifically music, and is known for her talent in instruments and vocals alike. Many praise her, saying that seeing Calliope perform at a gala or an event is the highlight of Canterlot's season. Because of this, Callie is desired by most eligible stallions (and mares) and she knows it, usually letting the positive gossip and words of others give her a rather inflated ego.

Padparadscha, one of the middle children, seemed to hatch more bug than pony. Named for the sparkling orange gemstones on his chest, Paddie enjoys nothing more than the finer things. He loves all things that glitter, and he loves being among one of the richest families in Equestria. If he could sit in his home and stare at all of his family’s acquired wealth, he would. And with his love for the finest, Paddie continually spends money on luxury items. Fortunately, his spending habits aren’t only for himself. He spends plenty on his family and friends, treating them to good food or expensive clothes and jewelry, anything for him to flaunt how important he is. And coming from one father who has never known the definition of financial limitation, it’s easier said than done to curb his hunger for new and fancy possessions.

Just as Celeste is named for their distant Great Aunt Celestia, Lunule is named after the Princess of the Night. Lunule is a proud member of the LBGT community and regularly does advocacy work with creatures who struggle with their identities, sexualities, or their unsupportive families. And although Daddy Blueblood would rather not bring it up, Lunu has been arrested for protests multiple times, for which their father has been more than gracious putting up the money to bail them out. They are peaceful and tend to stay that way in most situations, unless standing up for someone warrants a smack (or in some instances, a punch). Lunule knows they are very privileged in both being accepted for who they are and by being in a wealthy, well-known family, and want to spend their time helping those who aren’t so lucky.

Mellifera, also known as Bumble or Mel by those close to him, is probably the sweetest little changeling anyone has ever seen. He lives for affection of any kind, whether it be from family, friends, or lovers. Mel is known to be quite the cuddly little flirt, craving affection just as a starving changeling needs love. He falls in love easily, having a string of crushes and flings a mile long. With his head always in the clouds and over the moon in love with a new pony every so often, it usually falls upon his siblings to bring him back down to the real world before he rushes off again, sure he’s truly found “the one”. It's not much of a surprise that Mel is optimistic, charming, and constantly lovestruck, but it also seems to leave him in a rather naive mindset.

When Duchess had hatched from her egg, her fathers were rather confused. She seemed to be in every way, besides being from a brood of eggs, a completely normal pony. There were no horns on her head, nor armor or back cover or gems. All they could see was a sweet little filly amongst her more bug-looking siblings. When she grew older, however, Thorax and Blueblood began to notice how different she was from a “pureblood” pony. While she could not change her appearance like the rest of her brothers and sisters, Duchess can change her colors similar to a chameleon (and also has some of the most terrifying secret mandibles anyone has ever seen). She acts rather distantly to others, with the exception being few members of her family. Many describe her as eerie and while she is a beauty, she hardly talks. In fact, her cousin Erebus (who is by no means a social butterfly) seems more of a people person than Duchess. The youngest just seems to give off certain vibes, like you can’t tell if she likes you or if she wants to eat you. In all reality, Duchess would rather listen and be a fly on the wall than join in on the conversation. If and when she does join in, it doesn’t take more than a few minutes before she says something deemed awkward because of her inability to properly read social cues.
