I've been intending to do something like this for awhile now. This is a mix of airbrush and my abtract watercolor/acrylic style. The canvas was painted abstract first using acrylic treated as watercolor. I then decided how to place the image from a fantastic stock artist- [link] . After drawing I airbrushed the image until the desired transparency was achieved. I'm happy with the overall result, I think more of these on larger canvas are in my future..-18 in. by 24 in. canvas, acrylic and airbrush comart paints with a iwata Hiline HP-CH.

I like this piece, but my eye keeps being drawn toward to plus sign in the top right. I look at the eyes, then the mouth, and then the plus sign. The figure and the background feel as if they're two separate paintings. They should work together as one. Donβt take this as an attack. Itβs just my constructive criticism.

Thanks for the critique, I agree that there are things to be improved with this new style. Part of the purpose is to juxtapose the two styles against each other while still having them work together. This painting is the first in a series I hope to do, meshing the multiple things I do with mediums, style, subject matter and scale. Larger paintings like this will follow as the work gets stronger. The plus in the upper portion is too bold and draws more attention than it really deserves or was intented. Some of this conflict will be resolved as I develop this style- Thanks- Mike

things arent bad , been a little cold for body work , but staying busy with helmets ect.... but its still to cold to clear lol , so its thats type of season , but its suppose to be warmer next week , so hopefully things will get rolling. How about you bro ? School must be almost out ? Hows your wagon ?

Not too bad here, weathers good today. The wagons been on standby with school and gymnasium work taking priority. I got the welder going and some steel bought so I can get the new front bench frame built and installed. I really gotta get the brakes and seat in that car so I can get it from my brothers to my place, then I can work alot more freely this summer. Gyms/ murals start June 9th and don't stop for the first month or so..- Later - Mike
