Description
The Cuetzpalin Nahual, always on the fight against its foe: civilized society, and its wretched offspring: humankind, finds itself once again trapped in the machine (that's what cities are, machines and traps), and fight to prevent a nuclear disaster about to be activated by civilization's father, Lapolakh (known by many names, like Xiuhtecuhtli, Surtur, Khepri, among others). The Cuetzpalin Nahual has been called human and citizen once, and looked like one, too, but that was before its transformation into a wild & free animal. But while society granted it some few rights, now, it knows the cost of freedom is always high, and that society is more like an enemy than an ally when it comes to doing right with one's own hands. The hands that bring you food make you pay for it, so they take it rather than give it, and pretend they're doing a favor to you, asking your obedience in return for your lack of need in seeding and picking the food yourself. In a 'reality' where a place to live in is a privilege, occuppying is a duty.
What would you choose: safety or freedom?
Know Nahual's next transformation , and ultimately, what the future brings
The Cuetzpalin are a fictional kind of lizard people from my current comic book project, titled Cuetzpalin. As part of their aging, they grow wings and feathers on the back, just as spotted in the Nahual here. The Nahual is the protagonist of Cuetzpalin, who was born as 'human' but became a Cuetzpalin at some point, and, getting the freedom it always wanted, also got enmity from the State, the capitalists, and pretty much everyone, just because it freed other animals from their prisons. In this illustration, the Cuetzpalin Nahual do some direct action on the fictional country of Haijian, and has as weapon the sword known as Kusanagi and an armor generated through the 'Nemontemi Stone'.
