Motherly: "Oh my god, did it hurt? No excuses, I'm taking care of you right now!"
She acts like a mother to nearly any feline that got in trouble or hurt itself. Cardea makes sure everyone's doing fine and happy, she kind of made it her job to take care of the Ferox.

Caring: "Where does it hurt?

She makes sure everyone in the Ferox is simply alright and is always up for a talk. Wether you need a shoulder to cry on, someone to vent to or just talk about something, Cardea is always there to listen and help.
Hardworking: "...wait you're here? I didn't even notice you."
Cardea works hard on whatever she's doing. She rarely ever gets enough sleep, goes on herb patrols a lot and stays near the nursery most of the time. She never really gets to rest and sometimes has eyebags.
Stubborn: "No, it's not NOTHING, it's something SERIOUS."
Maybe it's not correct to describe her as really stubborn. Carrie follows her rules strictly and stubbornly. If she wants to help someone in need, she will not bow down until they are in safety again.
Selfless: "No no, you need it more than me."
She puts everyone before her and sometimes even forgets about what's best for her. She wants to make sure everyone in her fraction is alright and doing well. She would die to protect anyone from the Ferox

Self-critical: "Why did I do this... I'm so bad at it anyways..."
Cardea is very self-critical and has low confidence. She basically dislikes herself, the way she is, she looks and how she feels. She just has to learn how to love and not ignore herself and her feelings.

HISTORY

[ The travelers ]

Cardea was born alone to a beautiful leopardess named Helena. Helena was included in a breeding program after her mate's death, but gave the cub away right after she was born. The merchant who took the cub named her Cardea. With her owner, Cardea traveled a lot, due to her master being one of the few doctors in Massilia. They never returned to the city tough, instead he decided to settle down in Rome after months of successful travelling.

[ Out of blue eyes ]
Rome was scary, at least for Cardea. She tried to help her owner wherever she could. One day, an Egyptian merchant arrived and with him was a dark tigress who went by the name Ana. The Egyptian and Cardea's owner got along well and he even took care of the old man for a while, resulting in him moving in with Ana. Cardea obviously started to make eyes at the tigress, but Ana didn't really care about her love life. She joined the hunters, where she brought back escapees in high numbers. But unfortunately, Cardea's owner died of age and the Egyptian merchant wanted to return to Alexandria. But since Ana was such a successful hunter, he decided to sell her to a man who owned bounty hunters himself.

[ The medic ]
So this left Cardea all on her own. Even though she was highly overshadowed by Ana, she admired her deeply. When Ana got hurt after a raid, Cardea would take care of her and her wounds. Soon, she noticed that this is was what she wanted. Help the ones in need. Cardea made herself an unofficial healer who would be there for any city cat in need. She was happy to finally have what she wanted.
Ana got much busier, but Ana never returned from a specific raid. Cardea overheard a conversation and found out that some of the hunters killed Ana due to jealousy. She was shocked and decided to leave the city on that exact night. With no turning back.

[ Mercy ]
She heard of the defectors and had multiple reasons to join them. Unfortunately tough, she didn't know where to start her search. She was wandering around the wilderness for days, always trying not to get caught by any caravans or hunters. Eventually, she bumped into a Ferox patrol, but her strong hunter smell was still on her. They attacked her and dragged her back to camp, telling the high ranks about what had happened. But the leaders were kind and understood her reasoning, so they let her join one of the ranks, but kept an eye on her. Cardea decided to join Flora's group of anecdotists.
