Feels a tiny bit too bright, but otherwise it works well -- I can feel the lightrays! Particularly, I would like some more contrast or a burn in the grasses that are close to the shore, especially on the right side. It's hard to differentiate between those weeds/flowers/whatever and the grass.

WOW, That is an awesome image.
Were those birds there when you got the photo? If they were then amazing. If they weren't and you placed them in, its adds to the photo.
Well done.

This is such an amazingly beautiful photo!
It actually inspired me to do a digital drawing of it. That says something about how amazing this photo is, because I NEVER draw landscapes, or even backgrounds
I was wondering if it'd be ok with you if I posted my drawing up here on DA, of course with credit to you and a link back to this photo?

This is an absolutely beautifully crafted shot; the angle is near-perfect for the scene - it allows the eye to enjoy all aspects of the photograph, from the reeds in the foreground, to the bird formation in the mid-ground, all the way to the mountains far into the back of the shot. Excellent use of colour and vibrancy as well, very well executed. Well done!
P.S. - This would be a critique, but I don't have premium membership!

In that case - what could be improved?

I think it's more a case of personal preference - I would have preferred to take the shot more central to the sun, perhaps with the reeds in the central foreground as opposed to being off to one side? But I genuinely think it's a beautiful shot and that you're very talented
