Finally went hiking yesterday, and here is the gift that I bring to you
I really enjoy this particular place, and the way it changes in different light. Location: Garibaldi Lake, Garibaldi Provincial Park, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Nikon 10-24mm + Moose's Warming Polarizer
Processing: Photomatix Pro 4.2 and Photoshop CS6 from 3 RAW exposures.

I love how the colors on here remind me of looking at a top grade piece of ammolite. Even the trees remind me how some of the sections and colors mesh together. Excelent job.

Pretty. but.. why don't you acknowledge that only the backdrop is real but none of the colors? this is HDR friend.. not "the colors of this particular place"

what is this? i only know that the colors hurt in my eyes :/
this is where HDR in nature-photography goes completely wrong, imho. for me this work has nothing to to with "nature" photography anymore, everybody proficient in CGI would be easily able to create a more "natural" and pleasing looking scene. have you ever considered putting this kind of work into the "Photography -> Darkroom -> Digital -> HDR" category?
no offense meant by this comment, only my subjective personal view as a nature-photographer.
