I have been looking for a chance to get this garden spider. I grew up calling it a 'zipper' spider.
I remember mom saying to leave this one alone in the garden he does a heck of a job on the garden pests.

Ok, the sight of the shot in full view just makes me shiver. I honestly can't look at it. But I do appreciate a good photo, and from what I can see in thumnail view this is a fabulously detailed photograph, the spider is very well positioned in the frame, and the background is great, with the detail of the leaves down the bottom fading to only light in the top. It's just lovely! (In a creepy I-hate-spiders sort of way).

pretty cool shot. i like the sharp focus and the webbing. wish there were more dark background so it would stand out more at the top of the shot, but sometimes you just gotta work with what you have right?
