Made with Jwildfire... This one is actually two layered fractal flames, starting with a gnarl random flame, and the one on the top layer occupying most of the middle region is a minor modification with the "japanese_maple" transform. The name of the japanese_maple transform is cut off in the JWildfire view so I am not sure of the full name, let alone what its equation is. Rather than use the conventional JWildfire layering, I created both, and colour-killed the white background for both - I tried setting both a transparent background image and colour for JWildfire GPU generation, but it wasn't transparent by that method. I achieved the transparency using the paint.net plugin "kill colour keeper" by pratyush .

Once I had both images in their own layer along with a gradient background, I applied the paint.net dream filter by BoltBait on the top layer, and carefully erased parts of the top layer so the best detail parts of each flame came through. The end result has the middle section looking symmetric and the borders+corners looking very asymmetric.

I reckon this is what a real alien pride flag-equivalent would look like. Because highly advanced aliens probably wouldn't use normal boring cloth flags. Just a thought.
