Description
Jessica AlbaPencil and Dry Brush on Paper
Many people ask me why I use a brush. I have come to find that a round bristol brush will give a smoother effect when I use it to blend than using my finger or any other blending/smearing tool. It works for me, but it isn't for everyone.

First of all, VERY NICE.
Second, This pic looks awesome just the way it is. Having the art utensils in the photo, nice touch. Makes the face seem even more real, weird as that sounds.

J-E-M I've heard using tissue to smooth out the pencil. Never heard of using a brush. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely try it. Oh yeah -this picture is truly amazing.

The face looks AMAZING, and the fact that it's unfinished makes it even more impressive, it reminds me of the Escher pics where you could see his hand.
I'm very jealous of how well this picture turned out... it looks absolutely incredible.

I haven't used a grid to scale up with in years and years. Seeing this makes me want to do pencil work again or maybe i'll just post some old stuff. very nice
