A in depth understanding of weapons, use, and minor control over them.

If there is a weapon or something that can be used as such, Josh has an almost magnetic pull on them, gravitating them to his person. The larger the weapon the harder it is to pull towards him. In a way his ability to sway a weapon is in correlation to his physical strength. If it's too heavy to pick up in any normal case the likelihood that he'd be able to acquire it is slim. Alongside his pull on them he also has a vastly unexpected understanding of the weapon upon holding it (in some cases, such as in weapons who have seen battle that give off a strong aura, he does not need to touch to understand). In most cases he uses this ability to simply properly use the weapon, but it does have other uses. On occasion he also gets the unexpected surprise of mundane daily items holding vividly intended imaginings as a weapon. Normally when it's just a day-to-day item it must have been held with extreme violent intent to trigger his ability. The item has to be turned into a weapon. The easiest way to explain it is as a metaphysical link between him at the item (Which can vary between legit weapons or things intended as weapons which varies). In most cases there isn't too much of a drawback, though on weapons who've been through traumatic experiences it can leave a stain on him. Like a cloud or a funk. However, the ability he has been granted that causes the most drawback is his ability to curse a weapon. The stronger the curse the more karma he gets for it. Most cases when he's let slip of this ability is in the heat of the moment, and although he tries to retract it later, bargaining with the forces of whatever he can call to, it cannot be taken back. First to be the one out to make friends it isn't an uncommon sight to find that he already knows everyone. Well, at least they know him anyways. Due to his "lax-tude" and easy going ways he quickly finds himself in others favor. No stranger to attention he often seeks it out with his class-clown type antics. Quickly and willingly becoming the joke in the room, enjoying both his own amusement as well as others laughter. Thanks to this people tend to migrate towards him, always the center of attention, the joke maker, the chill bro, he easily makes himself approachable. Most have difficulty finding anything wrong with him, even in the intelligence field. Though he is not in the least bit good when it comes to books he has quite a clever way with words. Managing to talk circles around people ending more than not, in apology on their end. Topping it off with a little bit of knowledge he probably picked up accidentally followed with a very confident and somewhat haughty "I know things". Ultimately making him someone you'd rather have having your back in a fight than on the opposite end.

Born in San-Pedro, raised in LBC, son to Adileh Shir-Del and Oratio Aiza as far as he knew his family was completely normal. His mother a veteran and now cop for the Long Beach City Police Force while his father was a curator to a museum, most would find that from the outside this was a very ideal set up. Clearly not lacking in finance or anything else, Josh grew up with a content childhood. Though a little more hyperactive then most, often finding himself in trouble more than not, and exhausting his mother in turn... Even with those tribulations Adileh had managed to make it work. Never letting slip of exactly where Josh came from to anyone, even her husband. Nope, no complications here. Completely and utterly normal.

Only when his school started did things start to challenge him truly. Unfortunately upon inspection Josh was diagnosed with intense ADHD and minor dyslexia. Which quickly explained why the kid could never sit still, however it stunted him quite a lot. Thankfully his skills in reading weren't so atrocious that he had to be put into learning disability classes, but it didn't make his life any easier. What was worse was the constant oncoming of fights his way. The kid had a temper sure but gods did he have a mouth, provoking person have person. Only coming out on top which frustrated them more, and sadly it frustrated his mother as well. Even though he managed to make many friends most friendships ended in him blowing up or taking them down. Fluxuating between the favorite to the most hated on a regular basis. Only finding solace in making jokes of others and his teachers, quickly landing him in the favor of the kids but putting him in the principal's office insistently--but at least the fights stopped?

Around when he joined middle school his mother had another child, a daughter. Instantly swearing nothing bad would ever happen to her. It would have been nice if he could have kept that promise. That summer the family had taken a trip to the Seqoia National Forest up north. Needless to say it came to an abrupt end, his first actual genuine monster attack. He didn't have a lot of time to react but when it called out "SON OF ARES" he knew it meant him. Even without knowing who that was, he just...understood it was for him. It was at that time a satyr found him, having been on a school trip with a bunch of children from Central California in hopes of finding any new demi-gods. Well he quickly found one. Ushering Josh away from his parents, despite all the struggles-- the Satyr managed to (though perhaps a little violently) shake some sense into Josh and basically tell him he was a demigod. Which lets be really fucking real, he did not believe for a second. But it was sort of hard to straight up ignore when there was a monster screaming for him in the distance. With no time for questions the Satyr as well as Josh found and abruptly jumped into their car with his Mom and Dad already waiting in a panic, not hesitating Adileh drove off instantly.

Many, and when one says many they mean MANY questions later (like over 7 hours of questions) Josh as well as his step-dad finally came to accept things. Though, the word step-dad a new and foreign idea, one which he resented. He felt his peaceful world coming crashing down. Knowing this day would come his mother wasted no time in sending him off back with the Satyr to the East Coast. It left a sour taste in Josh's mouth. Like he was being gotten rid of, and tossed to the side. No amount of comfort made him feel better about what was happening. He had no room to argue though and was quickly ushered away to Camp Half Blood and quickly claimed as Son Of Ares. He spent three summers before becoming a full year rounder. Finding going home was becoming more painful and dangerous every time. By age 13 he was officially a year-rounder. The rest as they say it, was history.
