Description A post-processing tutorial with instructions on ways to make your digital images look like dry-plate prints from the late 1800's, during a photographic movement called pictorialism. Pictorialism arose out of the debacle involving painters who believed that photography was no more an art form than arm-pit music. Photographers like Robert Demachy began using soft focus, high grain content and other methods to create photos that more closely resembled paintings than today's idea of photography, in order to sway the art world into accepting them. Pictorialism died in the early 1900's when modernism replaced it as the favored style.
