Description
Macro of a snowflake in Yellowstone.EDIT: Guys this is being stolen all over the internet. I can't even express how upset I am right this second. So voila, big-ass watermark and tiny view. Chances are it's coming down eventually, but it's late and I have work in the morning.

This is honestly beyond incredible. What's the name of your macro lens?

It's a Sigma, 105mm 1:1 macro for a full-size sensor.

That is simply awesome!
I never tried but I think its pretty hard to take a good picture of a snowflake! Plus you must be pretty fast to take it before it melts, dont you?
Stunning picture really! It deserved the Daily Deviation!

Thank you.
It was a pretty quick process... it took over 100 frames to get one before it melted.
