Yes, I know. Nobody likes them so I'll delete the whole model and replace it for a half bug-half lizard beast.
Just kidding, thanks for the comment

Excellent work. I know I am a novice, but if I may say, will you be adding muscle definition to the hind quarters (horse half)?

Thanks, Muzski. Sorry for the delayed reply. For some reason, I couldn't see any comment or daily visits or favorites till moments ago, not just for the deviants at my gallery but all of them all over DeviantArt!

Yes, very rare, thanks for noticing it. Much below of the shoulder line than what is used nowadays (well, assuming we are talking of the same thing - if you were talking about the horse proportions and overall centaur shape... Thanks anyway! it's my first!)

Yes I think we're talking of the same proportion's thing, same as if you look at any photo of a horse and woman rider. I still use Paintshop so I simply "slide" the rider forwards over the horse's head. You see so many examples unfortunately where sliding the woman rider forwards she finishes up taller than the horse !!
You'll see what I mean if you look in my Gallery, it's also the same thing with the mermaid shark too. It's all about getting the proportions as correct to the eye as possible.
Another big problem I see is there's no way that the human spine could cope with the movements of a horse, and why I keep meaning to extend the horse's neck up to the base of the woman's neck whilst still maintaining a woman's graceful form.
Other drawing physiology problem areas for centauresses I'm thinking about are for example the far greater amounts of food and water needed (and its disposal !), and possibly 2 birth areas to cater for all human, centaur and equine tastes !! lol
I've been playing around with drawing them for years so for your first attempt it's a very good start well done !

I have another one: how do they breath? I mean, how could our little noses provide sufficient air to a horse's lungs? They couldn't even run!
