this looks great. One thing I like is even though she is highly stylized, she is built more like an actual black woman. Too often, female characters who are black, Latina or Asian are built like white women. Tall, slender, no hips or butt. This looks awesome.

Thanks for noticing.
Besides some exceptions, itΒ΄s a very common use for most artists to draw all their characters out of a couple base models, then marking the differences changing the hair style, skin color etc.
I'm not saying I'm above them all nor that I'm the next big thing after Da Vinci but at least I try to pay attention to those details.

Wow that's what you call one hell of a bombshell of a babe there J-M-D and hot damn always do love some good attention to that hotty Storm from X-Men!
Stunning work with what can say the least of with your 3D rendering there J-M-D, you don't seem to be lacking at all on the knowhow on how to bust out that body and even capture her familiar design and look from the comics, well done!
Besides that love the touch of the bikini you threw in there, very nice summer to her and all the same love the way that pink fabric hugs and grabs the chest or even pinches the crotch, most pleasing indeed!
Even with what you call a test really love the way you managed to capture the curve and flare so to call if of her hairstyle. Seen her hair done in a few ways but hell there's nothing that beats this new Mohawk touch, very pleasing indeed.
And one more little note on her Mohawk there, do wow at the way you can make out the many threads that make it up and even how the threads lighten up and spread out as they go outward from her head, excellent show.
Think want to add one more applause to the excellent shading and what you have for the shine factor too. A good indication of where you can pick out the light here, how it hugs/curves her body and even where the shine emits on her body to better show off that heavenly bust or even something like the fingers/toes/neck/cheeks, hot damn!
Supreme work say to you J-M-D, this is just just jaw dropping good 3D. *applauses*
Later,

Blender is a complete 3d design software like Maya or 3Ds Max. You can create, texture, rig, animate and render models of any sort. Bear in mind that it's not a mere posing and rendering software like DAZ or Poser. In Blender, every model needs to be created from scratch and that may look hard to impossible the first time you open it and see the interface.
In my case, I don't do the models with Blender but with an external software named Sculptris. I've created all of my models with this software from scratch (actually a sphere) and then just export them to Blender for the things that can't be done with Sculptris like clothes, gear and else.
Download Blender (it's free)
[link]
pros: complete 3d designing software
cons: hard to learn; not so user friendly
Download Sculptris (also free)
[link]
pros: easy to use; great results; very fun
cons: way too simple; limited tools
To resume, Blender is harder to use but also more powerful since it gives you full control of your models and scenes. In fact, every model like Victoria was originally made with this kind of software before being adapted to DAZ.

I think her torso is a tad bit short. Elongating that would got a long way towards making this seem more authentically Storm.

The torso is not short, boobs are just covering it. They doesn't spring right from the clavicles and that makes Ororo look more like and adult woman and not a teen - that's a little trick. Besides, Storm has a stylized torso with long legs and the trick is to give the same length to the torso, upper and lower leg. BTW, camera focus may things look different from this angle.

Well, alright. It was just suggestion, since Storm is an atypically tall woman at approximately six feet tall.

And suggestions are welcome. It's just my limited use of English that makes my comments and replies sound rough sometimes. Sorry
About Storm, she's very tall indeed and ,as every mainstream comicbook hero, she doesn't get (physically) old!
