Description
The second version of my tank chair. Probably the last version too. This piece has over 300 hours in it. It is made from steam bent maple, painted steel, cast iron and urethane rubber.Photo Credit: Ryan P

It's one of the more interesting modern designs and it looks comfortable as well. Great idea and great step further from No 1.

Awesome work. May I ask what is holding the maple together as the track/seating surface?

Was the Choice of Cast Iron for the Wheels a conscious choice in order to add mass and therefore potentially reduce the amount the chair might just roll around by increasing the chairs inertia? Or were you simply working with what you know?
Is it possible to plce the chair so it stand on it's two smaller wheels as a high back chair?
Is the chair regularly used?
The thing is fantastic. The only negative thing I can say about it is it'll be a hard bit of design for you to better. But I'm sure you're already trying.

The horizontal curve adds a huge amount of elegance to this chair. The gloss also refines the feel of the chair.
The inner green tube reminds me quite a bit of Ikea's Kila lamp. [link]
Beautiful concept, beautiful execution!

extremely good design but if you sit on it and it rools fowards the youll slide off, if it rolls back you will get tangled up in it and die and/or feel pain lol
i suggest buiding a sit to hover over the top with out touching the tracks ( connected to the frame maybe?)

I really like to movement in the piece. It looks like it could drive away. The bent pieces are perfect and the contours look very comfortable.

that's an amazing piece of furniture. compared to the first, i love the more ergonomic tracks and the big chunky wheels. putting the frame between the wheels puts more emphasis on the tracks and wheels. i like the minimal use of paint too, just using the materials natural colours

I probably can't say anything someone has already mentioned before, but this has to be my favorite furniture piece. I've never seen something so responsive.

its beautiful!!!!
but the green is distracting with the natural wood grain maybe a patina for the metal would have melded together to have a better aesthetic flow for the work. amazing concept and beautiful execution.
