They're 2 of my most fave leaders in the Japanese G1! 1 thing I'm really hoping for is that in the IDW comics, Ginrai makes an appearance & kills that version of Star Saber! I disagree what they did to Star Saber severely!!

Yes, he should. Or, if pure and incorruptable Optimus Prime couldn't do it himself, manoeuver someone of his subordinates with less moral scruples into the position where they could do it (e.g. Grimlock).

It's with this mindset that I suffered through the Prime episode "Rock Bottom" where the Autobots had several splendid opportunities to kill Megatron and end that damn war, but noooooo, "not this way", "Optimus wouldn't want it this way" etc. What, you think killing is noble and you have to wait for the "right", "honourable" circumstances? Killing is killing, you end the life of a sentient being, which is a terrible crime and I hope that I'll never find myself in a position where I have to. I loathe violence and also haope that I'll have never to resort to it.
If, however, with your actions you can stop a megalomanic war criminal and prevent the suffering of innumerable innocents, you have to do the decent thing and forfeit your chance at a quiet concsience, go against your every fiber, traumatise yourself and kill that war criminal. I also hope I'll never get into the situation where I'd have to act according to this principle, or to judge a situation where someone else did. But as a hypothetical situation, I have a strong opinion about that.

Given recent IDW output, if anyone's gonna orchestrate Megatron's death, look no further than Prowl.

Prowl, currently on Earth, killing Megatron, currently in sector 113. That had to be some plan Prowl had to enact to make that work.
