Description Here is the six page cover for my comic that combines the G1 and SG worlds (hence the title).
My comic features both universes combined through Unicron's ability to transverse the different continuums.

Of that, I understood, but honestly, it upset me as I was going back through the show.  I really liked the original series before the movie, especially for the raw nostalgia for me.  Between shows like Dungeons and Dragons, GI Joe, and Transformers, it was a Saturday Morning "breath of fresh air!"  More action than the repeat silliness of Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner which I felt like I had grown out of and a lot of the Hanna Barbara stuff which I liked back into the 1970s, but the constant respawning of Scooby Doo with Scrappy Doo was getting on my nerves an the Superfriends, while classic, was becoming like the before mentioned Warner Brothers cartoons.  Filmation was pretty much gone, though I think they were focusing on He-Man and She-Ra by this point and then later Bravestarr.  A lot of the anime stuff that was out was not getting into the market here in Southern Georgia, but the rare blip of things like Mighty Orbots and Galaxy High was fun.  DIC, as much as they make me cringe at times, at least had things like COPS and then there was The Real Ghostbusters.  Now, to be fair, I didn't see Ghostbusters, the one that was based off of the live action stuff from the 1970s until college ... and that also reaffirmed things like GI Joe and then Disney Afternoon which was pure fun.

The original Transformers will still be that one that's like a lot of the ones near and dear to my heart ... just fun.  I can roll shows like this while I'm writing my stories (or attempting to get back into my artwork, but that's another story) ... Saturday Mornings were always a time for me to break out the pencils and the pens and the colored pencils and try to come up with some cool stuff for gaming, either Dungeons and Dragons or Villains and Vigilantes.

**Giggles!**

If I remember, wasn't that the running joke in Space Jam?  Doing the same things over and over and over again?

In a way, I think Ted Turner (who I believe was the original mind behind the Cartoon Network idea back in the 1980s) made cartoons too accessible and the ideas for the shows dried up really fast.  They had some really good ones back in the 1990s and early 2000s, but I haven't really heard of anything worth merit since.  Granted Spongebob Squarepants is Nickelodeon and it's actually very well done, it's sort of my point ... the whimsical allure what comes out on September 7-12 like it used to be is gone.  Now, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon provided good ideas for a while and probably have some hard-core fans, which is fantastic, it doesn't do much for me anymore. But that's what I think is missing: the whimsy, the wonderment, the fun.

For me, it was also a treat to use some of the time during the reruns to run up to the convenience store, the local 7 Eleven, and get all sorts of candy and comic books too. Marvel was the mainstay, but I did try to keep up with Superman and Batman and the Justice League and the Teen Titans when I could get them, sometimes with The Legion of Superheroes too, all of the ones I did try to keep up with from DC.  During these years, I got a friend of mine's Big Brother to dump like fifteen years with of comics on me, some ranging from $.25 to as much as the recent (at that time) $.50 with lots of super-sized annuals and lots of titles too!  Mom was horrified, but Pop said that as long as I kept my grades where they were, they should leave me alone.

Indeed it was!

I hear you there.  I never really found myself digging much of what Jim Lee does.  Not sure if it's the art or the writing, but DC's changed a lot over the years and not for the good in my opinion.  Keep in mind, I read and enjoyed the comics by Jack Kirby, George Perez, and a few others who's name escape me without having to cheat and google them.  But I do understand how things change when you have kids ... seen it with my friends as they have grown older.  Personally, I have decided to stay single for my own reasons, having grown tired of the "Bait, Date, and Mate" games.  That's probably why I still do what I do.

I believe it!  I did a piece years ago, 17x17 inches on poster board since I wanted to get the details just right.  I think I tinkered with it for a few years off and on before coloring it up with flat colors and then just left it alone.  I haven't drawn comics in a good while, probably since getting out of SCAD, having failed out due to pressure on me to graduate by my folks, even though I was paying for it on my own.  I came to DA to try and find like-minded people and I feel like I have learned so much and made lots of friends ... hopefully I will get back to it as time rolls on.

Mm ... that sounds awesome to be honest.  I might have been there if things were different, but that was not how they worked out.

Mm ... I have refused to use Facebook since it really turns me off.  Many of my friends use it to keep up with their friends and family and that sounds good to me.

While I believe that, I'm just not sure that it's for me.

See?  You are using Facebook as it was supposed to be used, not showcasing a criminal lifestyle or getting into trouble with it.

Preach on, my friend!  I prefer those myself.  Most people I know who are not married seem to thrive on chaos and mayhem.  I'm too old for it.

I know.  I have a few stalkers, one as we speak who keeps on trying to get onto my page and start the usual shenanigans again.  I don't miss out on the usual drama either.
