Description
Inks & colour pencils on 11" x 16.5" bristol board.My aim here was to create a piece to reflect the tragedy of the character of Magik as well as highlight the bond between her and her best friend Shadowcat.

Absolutely fantastic. Love the way you captured the haunted look in Illyana's eyes and the love between Kitty and her.

I remember back when the NM were kidnapped to Asgard, Rachel said that there was a bond between them, that they had something similar to a subconscious awareness similar to twins. But after showing the Soulsword going to Kitty later on (first Beyonder kills/resurrects, then Inferno and yana's deaging) Yana, its never gone into detail since.
In fact since both girls are back in action (Yana back period, Kitty's out of the bullet and on earth), have they been shown together? I can't remember seeing any time

This is truly awesome.
Not only is it beautifully drawn, it radiates of powerful feelings.
On top of this Kitty is my favorite comic book character and this storyline is from the in my opinion best period of Marvel universe... Both story wise and visually.
So thank you for a beautiful piece and a wonderful walk down memory lane.

You couldn't have done it better! You captured all that beautifully. And superb work on the sword hilt and armored arm...very classy and original in design!
