Lol yer probably right. The english dubs do change stuff a lot.... but I can't imagine watching digimon or pokemon with japanese subs haha. I grew up on the dubs!

I actually watched that "Legend of Dratini" episode from the first series of Pokemon not too long ago. Seeing as how it's only in Japanese, I got to hear what the character's Japanese voices were like... Um... yeah... they were pretty bad. Especially Ash and Misty... Jessie and James sounded okay, but it was still pretty terrible, lol. Maybe that's just my adament stance on dubs vs subs coming through?

Nahhh it's just we know pokemonz in english haha. It didn't even hit me that it was voiced in japanese first until like a few years ago!

I never really imagined that it was voiced in Japanese until recently as well, just like you! I guess it's just what we're used to!

I believe that is explained by Elecmon better in the Japanese version than the English dub, I think its further explained in season 2 with Andromon. However it is also suggested that rather than reforming in Primary Village, evil digimon have their data sent to the world of darkness, where Kari, TK and Ken go that features a bunch of Divermon and a dark lighthouse (I thought that was cool). If I'm not mistaken their memories depend on whether they were killed or simply died of old age or used up all of their energy.

Doesn't surprise me, actually. The english dub tends to be all silly puns and crappy one-liners mostly, haha. But I love it anyway!
But that's interesting to knoe!
