Description This is the tutorial I made especially for my manga workshop. Fewer instructions than I made in tutorial books.

This is page 1 of 2. Use this as your guidelines. Actually, I use Paint tool SAI for the sketches and linearts. ^_^

How come my sketched always end up too rough and the lines are very antismooth? :S Could it be my old scanner?

I'll have to see if I can try drawing this way. Can you make this downloadable so I can print it out?

I'll have to try it..

I do all my inking digitally, but when I try to use a pen, it just looks wrong.

can i ask a question? why do animators often use colored pens to sketch , isn't it harder to erase?

Because colored pencils (especially blue one) was become invincible when scanning to grayscale. Just don't apply more pressure while drawing on this pencil or it will very hard to erase and the line will shown.

I'm sure he meant "invisible" And he's right. There are some pencils that come in "photo blue", which is a light blue color that won't show up when being scanned if you keep it light.

That's also why using blue in a picture can be such a pain while scanning T.T But that's my own experience.
