Ugh, I've had days like that.
I've also seem something similar happen in real life. It was a sewer auger though, and it came up in a toilet in the apartment ajoining the one we were working in. After reseting 5 toilets (including the one that died) I had a little appreciation why plumbers get the big money. That guy was in and out in about half an hour.
