I finished this drawing a long time ago, but have been very apprehensive about posting it, because I don't want pages of internet-nonsense-related comments. So if you wish to make a comment, please comment on something related to this drawing, like my style, line work, the story represented in the illustration, the effectiveness of the pin-up... or Keith as a character, or the general presentation of anime biseinen, etc, etc, etc... I would appreciate such discussion.
Bandit Keith is my favorite human character from the old Yu-Gi-Oh series, and he doesn't get very much fan art. I wanted to do a serious drawing of him that represented the way I see him and showed off the 'manlier' side of the Yugioh Universe.

You did a really great job capturing his smug-snake attitude. Keith thinks he's so tough and cool, and that attitude of entitlement has gotten him into lots of trouble I wish I had some coloring skills, because DAMN he's sexy and I think he'd be even sexier with the proper red white and blue.

but when i was going to Yu-gi-oh tournaments, i met this one dude with a machine deck who wore a American flag bandana around his head, i used to call him bandit Keith.

You still play Yu-Gi-Oh? What type of decks do/did you run?

I played for about 4 years during the GX storyline. I didn't do tournaments, because I learned very quickly that the vast majority of competitive ygo players are absolute assholes. I played for roleplay sake, making decks of the characters I liked and cosplayed. Got laughed at and brushed off often because I wouldn't put cards that were not appropriate(canonly or personality wise) to the character I was portraying in my decks just for the sake of winning. Once I got a clear view of how most ygo players thought (and seeing how big an issue theft was at the events),I soon started losing interest in playing. Since 5Ds and Zexal came out and added all these new card types and rules to the game, it is just too difficult for me to get back into regular play after all these years away, so I've pretty much quit all that. Still have my cards/decks though, for the sake of the characters I grew attached to.

I love your lineart and style. A lot. You most definitely captured him in all his manliness. And I agree, he doesn't get enough fan art, that's for sure!

I love his expression but the details are what get me. The laces, the belt, the folds, the slight scruffy look... and that torso! Nomnom.
