'Bandit' Keith Howard from Yu-Gi-Oh!
!! READ THIS !! - Please be mature and don't spam my drawing with YGO: The Abridged Series related comments. Thank You. I finished this drawing a long time ago, but have been very apprehensive about posting it, because I don't want pages of internet-nonsense-related comments. So if you wish to make a comment, please comment on something related to this drawing, like my style, line work, the story represented in the illustration, the effectiveness of the pin-up... or Keith as a character, or the general presentation of anime biseinen, etc, etc, etc... I would appreciate such discussion.
Bandit Keith is my favorite human character from the old Yu-Gi-Oh series, and he doesn't get very much fan art.
I wanted to do a serious drawing of him that represented the way I see him and showed off the 'manlier' side of the Yugioh Universe.

I have always liked BK in the show simply because it was awesome to have an "American villain" always roughing up stupid Joey. But this drawing adds a whole nother aspect to BK. Not only is he the intercontinental champ of Duel monsters, he is also a sex machine

I miss the old Yu-Gi-Oh episodes. All of my stations ever have is the newer stuff, which is fine I suppose, but it doesn't feel the same by any means. I've pretty much stopped watching TV anime and just download the good stuff now.
Wow, your linearts are always so detailed, they look like they take ages to draw out. May I ask how long something like this takes you? Do you do it in one sitting or over a few days?

I hate to say "it depends"... but there are several factors that determine how long a drawing will take me... like number of characters, perspective, detail of clothing, decor, background, etc... (same factors as other artists).
Then some days are just better for drawing than others. Sometimes I'm really in the groove and do a picture like this in an evening (pencil drawing and finished line art). Then other times I'll pick at a drawing over several days or even weeks or months, until I finally get it to a point I feel I can live with (I hate that, since it usually means the piece is going to be abandoned, because I just can't contribute time to it anymore. 
Once the initial pencil drawing is done though, the other steps go pretty quickly. I do the clean lines in about an hour or two. Then after I scan the line art into the computer, I always spend at least 20 minutes cleaning up and/or making adjustments to something that bugs me, like a proportion, positioning or foreshortening problem I didn't see until the image was on the screen.

I've never been fond of him, but I think your pic captures his essence, esp. in the days before Peggy 'destroyed' him. Being the top American duelist at the time, he prolly had groupies at any given moment until he thought he was God's gift.
At least, that's the way I saw it.
