I'm a fan of the original Transformers, and I think BumbleBee is pretty cute. Back when those special edition Pikachu VW Beetles came out, I couldn't help but imagine one of those combined with BumbleBee, and I finally got around to drawing it. ^.^--------------

I thought Fall of Cybertron Bumblebee looked a lot like Pikachu (they used G1-like designs, and that Bumblebee had glowing red cheeks!)

I actually remember seeing a yellow VW bug almost exactly like that, it had stripes and red cheeks painted on it and had ears and a tail.

It's almost frightening how much the design lent itself to Bumblebee's transformation. The tail is even realitivilty close to where it should be (although closer to the small of his back I would imagine).
