Description
Another old favorite of mine, though neither one I've ever been very good playing as or been a huge fan of design-wise. I never really bought the idea of him being a ninja, exactly, so I tried mixing up some practical fight armor with a human-leather version of the iconic MK gi, some bones, and some scalps.ΒTook several days because of a hand injury, which has been incredibly frustrating.

He looks great, man!
Well, I guess he's just a different kind of ninja? It's why I've a soft spot for the MK ones; they're all a little different.

I suppose, strictly speaking, the only ninjaΒ is Scorpion, being of a Japanese clan focusing on that. I vaguely recall the Lin Kuei in one game or whatever specifying that they weren't ninja, being a Chinese-based multinational guild, so...whatever? XD But as far as I know, Reptile's from Outland, so he fits in the "sure, whatever" category of pulpy pseudo-ninja, which I'm milking to its extent.

Yeah, if you wanna get technical and all that. However, I consider most of the masked, color-coded warriors in these games to be ninjas or ninja-types, just to keep the confusion down. Especially when I try and explain to non Mortal Kombat fans.
You're entirely correct about the Lin Kuei, though. Based in China, but having warriors of other races, like Cyrax. (Pretty sure Sektor isn't Chinese, either.)
