Ah yeh that seems to be the problem in a lot of creative courses, they make them very broad so theres often too much choice :/ My advice would be to try everything and see if one area stands out for you, then focus it

This website 'CTRL paint' is a good source of painting videos that are all very helpful: [link] Or this website: [link] or even if you search for tutorials here on deviant art you can find a lot. But the biggest thing is to make sure you are always drawing / painting, you can't improve without 'doing' it, even if its just sketches
