Description
We had fun was this cosplay.Ocelot costume and all the unit members costumes were made by me!!!! I have to much free time.

Did you make the trimmings on ocelot by hand, or buy them.
If you bought them, can I ask where?
And if you made them, can I ask how, and how easy?
I broke my sewing machine (and even then, I still sucked), so I'm limited to hand stiching. FML.
P.S. Where on earth did you find a red baret, and gloves?

I made them, but very easy. Yellow bias tape just glued onto red fabric.The red fabric is like a little pillow with cardboard inside of it to keep it firm. I found some metal star studs and painted them yellow. The baret was bought at my army navy store and the gloves are red leather gloves you normally can found around the hoildays. But you could try a costume shop online for the gloves or Ebay. I hope this helps.

Awesome! I've loved the Ocelot unit and all the GRU members since I first saw the in MGS3, but theres always so little Metal Gear costuming going on that it's depressing. How did you find a BDU for ocelot that didn't have pockets on the upper chest area?

Just seam rip the pockets off of a standard BDU

take an american TRU SPEC BDU top remove the top pockets, add the epaulettes and the front red strips with brass buttons, that's the easiest way I can tell you how to do it.

I ran across some stripped fabric for all of theirs, but you can get a real one on ebay.[link] the search was "russian navy shirts"

most of the unit is female, so we used junky girl boots you can buy a Wal-mart.

I used a bunch of old army surplus stuff (which I modded out) to make Ocelot and the unit. Ocelot was the one that cost the most, due to the props and all that fun stuff. Ocelot ran about 150.00 or so and the unit member only cost me about 40 a piece. The pain in the but part was getting everyone to wear them.Thank you for your nice comment

You should sell these, if you do email me, I'd definitely buy the ocelot costume (make one for somebody about 6 feet tall)
