I came up with the idea to do this out of the blue when I mistook something my friend, nonesart , made as a Mania-fied version of the Fun is Infinite version of Sonic. Nothing much to say after that, I kinda just made it shortly after coming up with the idea.Speaking of nonesart , he's also made a Mania-fied version of a Sonic CD secret sound-test screen, which he started work on when I started work on this, so I guess you can call this a sort-of collab. Oh yeah, and Sonic Mania Plus. Really awesome to see Mighty and Ray back, especially considering this is only Ray's second time ever being a playable character (The first and, as far as I know, only time he was playable was in his debut game, SegaSonic the Hedgehog), and the encore mode sounds really neat. Though, I doubt I'll actually buy the physical version, as I already have the original digital version, and I've heard the Plus version will be free DLC for those who already own the game.
sonic mania plus more like sonic mania infinite.
Also, I'm working on another Mania mock-up screenshot, and this one will be a big one, probably the hardest one I've had to make so far. Hopefully it'll be my next deviation, and hopefully I can get it done by next week, and thusly upload it next Saturday.
Please give credit to me if any of these sprites are used in anything.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic with your criticism or not, but I did actually update the shading on the Sonic sprites, I didn't just toy with the contrast or saturation. And for the text, while the shading isn't too different from the original screen, I did add shadowing to the letters.
I'm not trying to be, like, "but it isnt just that its this and that and thats why what you said is wrong", I'm just trying to point out that there was more effort put into this than just toying with the colors.
