one of three illustrations for a sign series...i did say i'd be doing more experimentation this year..i attempted to mimic art nouveau for this..and failed. XD;; i looked at so many, was inspired much by mucha..but he's a god..*o* XD;
ah well..enjoy.
edit: the colors were eyedropped from a picture of the scorpio/oct birthstone..and that the flower is referenced from a picture of a bunch of honeysuckle flowers. i had to print it 6x17 when the original size was so small..@__@; but you guys didnt' want to read that. i'm just in a sharing mood ;3
edit: drawn w/.5 mech pencil..lines filtered in photoshop and colored in ps. for those that were interested. ;3

wicked nice. Trying out a different style is cool, and I don't think you failed. It may not be as great as you want it or think it should be, but it is very awesome. I liked the colors and the scorpion; also the honeysuckle with Scorpio. I remember eating the honey from the honeysuckles next to my elementary school. We always did that, even after we were informed that chemical pesticides were being used on the plant and that we shouldn't eat/'drink' from it anymore. Very sensuous plant very a sensuous zodiac sign. ^_^ good job!

i always thought scorpio was more november since it encompassed more of that month, but the picture still works with the nov birthstone too since its warm colors. Very pretty. ^^

Hm, I can't give really... 'advanced critique', but I can give you a little.
Like, I think the tones of the skin could be more varied, as well as the top of her hair.
But other than that, this is just gorgeous. Her dress and flowers are just sooo well done. :<

aww you didnt fail! It's very pretty hon, I love her hair. The subtle highlights really give it good depth. And not to mention the lilies look amazing~!
