Like the others have said, the motion of her hair is brilliantly done. The first thing that caught my eye was her tense posture and malevolent expression; she does indeed look beautiful but violent in a feral way. My favourite features apart from the hair are the fishy spines and delicate scales on her lower body. She ought to see a pedicurist though; those fingers could take your eyes out...

The only thing that seems iffy in her anatomy is the right arm, I think it should have been longer but it may just be the way her shoulder is positioned that makes it seem that way heh heh....

This is beautiful. The hair is GORGEOUS! wow! So detailed and swirly, really looks like it is underwater. I love the vicious expression on the mermaid's face, the threatening way she is holding her hands out.
People choose different ways to anatomize and web their mermaids - I like your rendition. The shoulder fins and long fingers are especially lovely.
Applause for that backgrounds (backgrounds are tough!).
