The color is darker on his dorsal, but lightens towards his underbelly. He possesses broad shoulders, suggesting a strong and powerful build once he reaches adulthood. The same could also be said about his muzzle. Because of these traits, Night looks a bit top heavy: having a broad thoracic region, and narrow hindquarters. His tail is skinny but long, giving him excellent balance and coordination. His eyes are a calm green with hints of blue scattered here and there. He takes strongly after his father in terms of build, but his mother has left much of herself in his coloration and temperament.

History
[Prelude]:

Leopardpaw and Darkpaw met when they were young apprentices, though Leopardpaw was a few moons older than his denmate at the time. Darkpaw had wandered away from camp to try practicing hunting on her own, only to find herself in a dangerous situation. Her inexperience rendered her incapable of realizing that a small group of rogues were wandering about the territory, drawing closer and closer to her. One of the rogues found the young apprentice, and went to attack her. It was assumed that he had hoped to use the little she-cat as a bargaining chip, after all, the rogues were quite fond of Mapleclan's hunting grounds.
Fortunately for Darkpaw, a patrol was making their rounds, and leopardpaw stumbled upon the scene. Without thinking, the young tom sprung at the rogue, and the pair rolled in the grass screeching and clawing. The rest of his patrol had tracked down the other two, and chased them off the territory. By the time the warriors returned, Leopardpaw had subdued the rogue, forcing him to flee after his companions.
To reward the young tom for his bravery and skill, he was given his warrior name, Leopardclaw, and sat vigil that night. But afterwards, he and Darkpaw's relationship grew closer. They did almost everything together. They pulled pranks, stayed out late, and were the typical, irresponsible young couple. Leopardclaw as a young warrior, was often chastised for his behavior, though he did not mind it--he was smitten.
It would only be three more moons before Darkpaw would receive her warrior name, Darkwhisker, and the pair could finally join each other again. Moons later, and the pair were inseparable. So much so, that the entire clan were sure there would be new kits coming by the time Newleaf arrived.
And they were correct to assume so. In the late summer, the pair had their first litter. They named them Dustkit, Smokekit, and Reedkit. Ecstatic, the new parents adored their children--especially Leopardclaw who was absolutely thrilled to father kits. He was very involved with their lives, often play-fighting with them and showing them beginner moves when Darkwhisker was not looking. Before long, their brood would reach their sixth moon and step up to receive their new names and mentors.
However, the joy would not last for much longer. Late in his apprenticeship, Smokepaw and Leopardclaw had a falling out. To this day, it is still unknown as to why, as the family do not speak of it. Due to the strained relationship between father and son, Smokepaw would distance himself from the family, even his littermates. By the time they were given their warrior names, much of the familyhad begun to shun the dark-pelted brother. And he was rarely, if ever, brought up.

[Kithood]:

A season later, Darkwhisker and Leopardclaw decided to have their second litter. Despite the unfortunate events with smokepelt, the pair still felt as if parenthood was very rewarding. Darkwhisker soon became pregnant, and during mid newleaf the queen gave birth to four kits. They were named Viperkit, Spottedkit, Adderkit, and Nightkit.
While his littermates were very close and would play together most of the time, Nightkit was different. He would stand by, watching the others play. He preferred the company of older cats--like his mother and older siblings. He especially to interest in Smokepelt, his mysteriously distant brother.
As for his other siblings, Nightkit loved them, but preferred to stay out of their antics. Viperkit was much too loud and rambunctious for his taste. And she was quite bossy, which did not sit well with him considering he was much the same, albeit more reserved about it. He never fought with his sister, though. He let her do as she wished, and if she got too overwhelming, he would retreat to his mother's belly or go find Smokepelt.
Smokepelt was wise. Smokepelt was interesting. And he was quiet, never one to try and tell Nightkit what to do. The young kit grew very perplexed and curious as to why his other siblings did not seem to like their older brother--not even Smokepelt's littermates. But even when he would ask, the dark tom would just shrug and offer no words. As the moons went on, Nightkit began to resent his father, who seemed to dislike Smokepelt the most. Nightkit blamed him for his older borther's lack of involvement, and slowly became distant from his father.
This, of course, did not sit well with his father. He had begun to believe that Smokepelt was turning his young son against him. Tension slowly built up between the three, and by the time Nightpaw was apprenticed, he all but ignored his father's existence.

[Apprenticeship]:

While their sister unexpectedly took the noble path of training under the Clan's medicine cat, the rest of the siblings became warrior apprentices. Nightpaw had hoped to get Smokepelt as his mentor, but it was not to be. Instead, Nightpaw was assigned to [xxx] and began his training. Despite being disappointed, Nightpaw still made sure to be polite and respectful to his mentor. He was a quiet and reserved apprentice, but eager to learn all the same. Nightpaw was determined to learn all that he could so that he might one day become a legendary warrior of his clan. Perhaps even would day he could become leader. But he keeps these aspirations close to his heart, never uttering a word about his ambitions.

Night has a lot of little quirks and rituals, all of which tie into the number seven. For example, he has to circle his nest seven times before settling. When asked, he claims the dizziness helps him relax. When he is breaking an egg, he has to tap on it seven times before cracking it. Before he climes a tree, he circles it seven times. The list goes on.
Also, before he falls asleep at night, he recites the names of every cat he has ever met so that he wont forget anyone.

Night is a recycled and rejuvenated design of an OC I had since 7th grade.
He is a very superstitious character.
He is obsessed with eggs. Being that they are so rare, he will go crazy for one. He would even stoop so low as stealing an egg from someone else.
I never pictured him bonding with, or even liking his father. Instead, I see him being quite the mummy's boy.

He eyed her, torn ear twitching away her malice. He wondered what had made this young wolf so bitter. Was being raised in royalty this terrible? Sure, there was the rebels to account for, but surely the King and his family had support too?

Rolling his eyes at her threats, he rose to his paws. ”Be my guest~” He cooed, circling her now. It was not his problem if the alliance was called off. ”I doubt we’d miss it. It seems that most of the domain despise Vale, and your lands are barren. Not much can be gained from this alliance. Other than enemies and dried bones.”

The dark wolf continued to circle her, eyes falling on her figure with pity. Something about her seemed melancholy. This was no way a pup should behave. Not even he was this dark. And he certainly did not have the happiest of puphoods.

”From anybody, really.” Jerikoh told her. He cared not to address her previous topic of slaying those who oppose her. He was not in the mood to discuss angst-driven aspirations.

”You do not need to trust someone to learn from them.” He found his way back to his previous place in front of her. There, he slid to his belly and crossed his paws neatly in front of him. ”There is much to be learned from simply observing those around you. Fortunately for Darkpaw, a patrol was making their rounds, and leopardpaw stumbled upon the scene. Without thinking, the young tom sprung at the rogue, and the pair rolled in the grass screeching and clawing. The rest of his patrol had tracked down the other two, and chased them off the territory. By the time the warriors returned, Leopardpaw had subdued the rogue, forcing him to flee after his companions.
To reward the young tom for his bravery and skill, he was given his warrior name, Leopardclaw, and sat vigil that night. But afterwards, he and Darkpaw's relationship grew closer. They did almost everything together. They pulled pranks, stayed out late, and were the typical, irresponsible young couple. Leopardclaw as a young warrior, was often chastised for his behavior, though he did not mind it--he was smitten.
It would only be three more moons before Darkpaw would receive her warrior name, Darkwhisker, and the pair could finally join each other again. Moons later, and the pair were inseparable. So much so, that the entire clan were sure there would be new kits coming by the time Newleaf arrived.
And they were correct to assume so. In the late summer, the pair had their first litter. They named them Dustkit, Smokekit, and Reedkit. Ecstatic, the new parents adored their children--especially Leopardclaw who was absolutely thrilled to father kits. He was very involved with their lives, often play-fighting with them and showing them beginner moves when Darkwhisker was not looking. Before long, their brood would reach their sixth moon and step up to receive their new names and mentors.
However, the joy would not last for much longer. Late in his apprenticeship, Smokepaw and Leopardclaw had a falling out. To this day, it is still unknown as to why, as the family do not speak of it. Due to the strained relationship between father and son, Smokepaw would distance himself from the family, even his littermates. By the time they were given their warrior names, much of the familyhad begun to shun the dark-pelted brother. And he was rarely, if ever, brought up.

[Kithood]:

A season later, Darkwhisker and Leopardclaw decided to have their second litter. Despite the unfortunate events with smokepelt, the pair still felt as if parenthood was very rewarding. Darkwhisker soon became pregnant, and during mid newleaf the queen gave birth to four kits. They were named Viperkit, Spottedkit, Adderkit, and Nightkit.
While his littermates were very close and would play together most of the time, Nightkit was different. He would stand by, watching the others play. He preferred the company of older cats--like his mother and older siblings. He especially to interest in Smokepelt, his mysteriously distant brother.
As for his other siblings, Nightkit loved them, but preferred to stay out of their antics. Viperkit was much too loud and rambunctious for his taste. And she was quite bossy, which did not sit well with him considering he was much the same, albeit more reserved about it. He never fought with his sister, though. He let her do as she wished, and if she got too overwhelming, he would retreat to his mother's belly or go find Smokepelt.
Smokepelt was wise. Smokepelt was interesting. And he was quiet, never one to try and tell Nightkit what to do. The young kit grew very perplexed and curious as to why his other siblings did not seem to like their older brother--not even Smokepelt's littermates. But even when he would ask, the dark tom would just shrug and offer no words. As the moons went on, Nightkit began to resent his father, who seemed to dislike Smokepelt the most. Nightkit blamed him for his older borther's lack of involvement, and slowly became distant from his father.
This, of course, did not sit well with his father. He had begun to believe that Smokepelt was turning his young son against him. Tension slowly built up between the three, and by the time Nightpaw was apprenticed, he all but ignored his father's existence.

[Apprenticeship]:

While their sister unexpectedly took the noble path of training under the Clan's medicine cat, the rest of the siblings became warrior apprentices. Nightpaw had hoped to get Smokepelt as his mentor, but it was not to be. Instead, Nightpaw was assigned to [xxx] and began his training. Despite being disappointed, Nightpaw still made sure to be polite and respectful to his mentor. He was a quiet and reserved apprentice, but eager to learn all the same. Nightpaw was determined to learn all that he could so that he might one day become a legendary warrior of his clan. Perhaps even would day he could become leader. But he keeps these aspirations close to his heart, never uttering a word about his ambitions.

Love to watch the clouds and stargaze. He is also very fascinated by weather. Whenever a storm is afoot, he often goes outside to watch it blow in while the rest of his clanmates take to their dens. Many times he has returned to the apprentice den soaked from rainfall, much to his denmate's dismay.
[Strange habits]
Night has a lot of little quirks and rituals, all of which tie into the number seven. For example, he has to circle his nest seven times before settling. When asked, he claims the dizziness helps him relax. When he is breaking an egg, he has to tap on it seven times before cracking it. Before he climes a tree, he circles it seven times. The list goes on.
Also, before he falls asleep at night, he recites the names of every cat he has ever met so that he wont forget anyone.

Night is a recycled and rejuvenated design of an OC I had since 7th grade.
He is a very superstitious character.
He is obsessed with eggs. Being that they are so rare, he will go crazy for one. He would even stoop so low as stealing an egg from someone else.
I never pictured him bonding with, or even liking his father. Instead, I see him being quite the mummy's boy.

He eyed her, torn ear twitching away her malice. He wondered what had made this young wolf so bitter. Was being raised in royalty this terrible? Sure, there was the rebels to account for, but surely the King and his family had support too?

Rolling his eyes at her threats, he rose to his paws. ”Be my guest~” He cooed, circling her now. It was not his problem if the alliance was called off. ”I doubt we’d miss it. It seems that most of the domain despise Vale, and your lands are barren. Not much can be gained from this alliance. Other than enemies and dried bones.”

The dark wolf continued to circle her, eyes falling on her figure with pity. Something about her seemed melancholy. This was no way a pup should behave. Not even he was this dark. And he certainly did not have the happiest of puphoods.

”From anybody, really.” Jerikoh told her. He cared not to address her previous topic of slaying those who oppose her. He was not in the mood to discuss angst-driven aspirations.

”You do not need to trust someone to learn from them.” He found his way back to his previous place in front of her. There, he slid to his belly and crossed his paws neatly in front of him. ”There is much to be learned from simply observing those around you. Personally, I do not trust anyone.” The Omega told her matter-of-factly.
