Description Well, I've ALWAYS wanted to do this, but never had the nerve to. Guess what - I got the nerve. Haha!

But yes, I've always love bits and tack in general and will talk about it all day if you let me so I thought hey, why not make a resource? I know there are hundreds of things like this out there, but you know what. I don't care! I want to make my own!

So yes, this isn't going to be a "pretty" resource, it's going to be about the information, not the layout and quality of art work... Sorry!

If you have any questions (or friendly disagreements) please comment! Like I said, I love this subject so I'll talk with you all day!

Part 2: Curb vs Snaffle (coming soon!)

I have been searching for a good tutorial on tack for a really long time! In the future, would there be a saddle tutorial? Thanks again, your tutorial was amazing!

Possibly xD I have a loooooot of installments I want to go through with the bits, but there could very well be introduction to other tack if it's well received. ^^

This is a great bit resource... would you mind if I linked to this and your subsequent tutorials at #HARPG-University ? I am having some trouble clearing up my bit rules for Equine Training Academy and this would help greatly.

I'll definitely let you, but it is possible that this may just become an continuous ongoing series (like, when I'm satisfied with bits, fall into training equipment and such...), do you want me to notify you when I think I'm finished with the bit series?

Your on my watch list, I'll comment through out
It will be awesome to see you go into training equipment down the line, who knows maybe it will change my programs as they are now

Knowing about bits and how they work IMO is one of the best things to learn when riding and teaching others to ride. If you understand how you are cueing the horse and how the horse receives that tactile information and processes it, it becomes easier for you as the rider/trainer to give the correct signals based on what the horse is telling you. You learn to feel rather than just "press" buttons.

I find tack and bits really interesting as well and its nice to see what all these parts are called in English, as I know most of it only in German xD
