Here's an updated digital version of the first piece in the series:See the rest of the Shippuuden series here:
This time the Shippuuden Naruto characters are at the prom and that's why I didn't draw them in their original costumes (it wouldn't have made much sense). I'm sorry I couldn't cram in as many characters in this picture as I did with the last one. But I hope you enjoy it just the same! I drew this using a V5 Precise pen and I colored everything with Prismacolor pencils.
Finally, you can read what each character is thinking below:
Tsunade: "This was the WRONG day to wear green."
Rock Lee: "Apparently hard work does pay off."
Sai: "I like big butts and I cannot lie. You other brothers (who lack penis) can't deny."*
Hinata: "Naruto will have to notice me this time!"
Temari: "Since when were you such a romantic, Shikamaru?"
Shikamaru: "Since I set eyes on you, my love."
Naruto: "Wow, Hinata is really booty-poppin'!"
Gamakichi: "Hey Naruto, when did Hinata become such a fox?"
Gamatatsu: "Almost there..."
Gaara: "Busted..."
Jiraiya: "Simmer down kid, I won't get you in trouble if you give me a shot."
Sakura: "This sucks, why didn't Sasuke ask me to the prom?"
Ino: "Sasuke is such a dark, sultry and mysterious loner. I must have him!"
Sasuke: "Yeah, I'm gellin'."
*this is my joke on the song "Baby Got Back," by Sir Mix-a-Lot (1992).

Well I finally got around to hooking up my scanner and I'm glad to have that all out of the way. I've got plenty of time to draw though, when I'm not working I'm either home playing video games or doodling.

me 2. exept i really started getting into the whole naruto games and guitar hero. but its like i dont have that much of an interedt in video games enymore. but still here and there i will play the games.

well its not that im tired of video games. i absolutely love love love video games, its just that lately i havent been playing it much cause school and crap. ive been having this project that has been taking up all my time. but i mostly have like all the the Naruto games, all the Guitar hero games (i play on hard in guitar hero), and like kingdom hearts.. and so on. so yeah you could say that i like video games.

Coolness, I always have loads of time for games after work. Although I should work on my art... but I got a PS3 just yesterday so you can't blame me for wanting to go all out!

sweet, the ps3 thats cool. the only thing that i dont like about getting a new game system is that i have to buy all the different kind of games for it. but since you can play ps2 games on it then i wouldent worry about it to much. but i wouldent want to buy like a xbox because i would have to buy a different xbox game just so i can play it fer my xbox. plus i wouldent even get to play it on my ps2 but yeah that is pretty sweet that you got a ps3.

Well I got the 40gb model of the PS3 because it was resonably priced but it isn't backwards compatible. I didn't need a backwards compatable model though because I already have a PS1 and PS2 and I know I'll never get rid either one of them. But I bought a copy of "The Orange Box" for PS3 and it's amazing, 5 games on one cd! Totally worth $50!!!

The games included on The Orange Box are Half Life 2, Half Life: Episode 1, Half Life: Episode 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal (Portal is one of my new favorite games by the way). So far I've only played Portal and I just started Half Life 2, both are incredibly awesome and the company Valve is famous for making amazing games anyways. I knew it'd be worth the money, I picked up my copy at Fred Meyers but I know it can be found at any store that sells video games.
The games on The Orange Box are all played in first person mode, normally I suck at those type of games but the way it's presented in this set makes it easy and fun for beginners like me. You should have seen me when I first started playing Half Life 2, it's such a massive game... when I first booted it up and was walking around, I opened a door to the outside streets and I was intimidated by the massive city I saw out there! I was almost afraid to walk out the door because I had never seen such epic scenery.

Oh man it was soooo much fun drawing Hinata doing something so unlike her! I purposely drew Sai and Shikamaru to be ultra hot and charming, so your reaction isn't strange at all. I'm glad you like my little quotes for the characters too, that's half of the fun in making pictures like this (this was part 2 out of 3 in my Shippuuden series by the way, I plan on making more eventually).

I guess Matsuri must be a character from one of those filler episodes huh? I've only seen like 140 episodes of the show, I prefer reading the manga (read all 41+ volumes out there). So I don't know anything about the filler episode characters... But I'm glad you like the drawing!

It definately sounds like a filler character, because in the manga I'm way ahead of where Shippuuden is and I never read about any character like that. So in the manga he still doesn't have a love interest.

Oh the manga is VERY different and extremely graphic! You'd be surprised by the amount of violence and language that is in the manga that never makes it into the show. I read the manga online for free by the way, I go to this site [link]
I kinda don't want Gaara to have a love interest though, it just doesn't seem right to me.

One really big difference that comes to mind between the manga and the anime is the battle with Zabuza. Remember that guy Gato who didn't want the bridge to be built and Zabuza killed him? Well in the anime Zabuza slashed him and pushed him off of the bridge, but in the manga he sliced Gato's head clean off and it went flying through the air!
