The reality tv shows tell me what to do.I believe in the Pepsi commercials, don't you?
The re-runs on tv will keep me from harm.
The glow of my monitor makes me feel warm.
Yeah I know, I suck at poetry and really should stick to what I'm good at...
No matter how many times I try to tell myself that reality tv is crap, I always end up watching it and feeling like scum. I like to think that I have good taste in tv but I'm only fooling myself. Who am I kidding? I love bad television. But at least I'm aware that I'm watching bad television, I wonder how many other people would admit that?
Damn, I have too many media related addictions...
This picture is of me and my eternal love, the television. I drew this with a ball point pen and it took forever! I've been planning this for a couple of weeks now and finished it just last night. It was very hard planning out all of the wires and pipes mostly because I don't know anything about machinery. So I sort of invented my own machine. I like the way my machine creates a border for the whole picture.
I hope everyone else likes it too!
I think I'll go and watch more tv.

This reminds me of a recurring nightmare I have where grids begin to grow and spread over the walls and ceilings, interconnecting and moving towards me....

Yes, tv is evil but I'm a hardcore addict. I love pipes and wires too, but I think that obsession came from listening to Gary Numan all the time. He sings about wires and machines all the time. I thought you had a tv but just didn't have cable? Was I mistaken? How will you watch the tape and dvd I sent you?

Detail like this isn't easy! In a way I'm kinda sad that I'm completely done with this picture, it was really frustrating but I liked the challenge. I'm happy that you noticed all of the cute little touchs I put in the drawing. You know, I actually have boots like that! Thanks again and yes my boots are awesome. I bought them from a friend a few years ago for only $30. The metal plates on the front of them are freakin' heavy though! I'm sure the buckles add quite a bit of weight too... I only wear them when I don't have to walk very far because I easily get winded after a long walk in them.

Hehehe, I had a feeling you'd like this. I get inspiration from many weird places, I think part of what gave me the idea for this was when I was listening to some songs by The Covenant. The lyrics to their songs are amazing, I have a thing for songs about cold bleak futures where machines reign over humanity. I'm just weird like that.
The hampster idea came to me at the very last minute, I realized that the picture needed something to make it a little more happy. I don't want to look too serious or pretencious with my art, you know?
But yes, watch more tv! The tv loves you. Say, that reminds me, did you get the chance to watch that video tape I sent you?
