Circa 1806RT ,Third Battle for Aragon, Ephesus

By 1803rt, when the shirudan led Dominion was formed between Imania, Hesse, Nordvest and Konhinentaru a country was caught in between them. That country was Ephesus. Surely enough, several nobiles have already been contacted by Dominion agents by then and the country suffered a civil war. The cities of Almohads and Aragon were pro Dominion and troops from Imania and Hesse entered the country to support them. Dotha, Asturias and Rio Tajo and a majority of the ephesian populace rose up to reclaim their country.

Eventually even shirudan troops arrived on Ephesus, encirling Tercia and Dotha. Arcean forces from Anitkori were deployed to assist the ephesians. This country was a vital supply line for Imania in its conquest of the midwest. So it was imperative that it remained free of total Dominion control. The other longer route to Imania was through Hijjia. While airships would travel there, the ever present wildcard of bandit warbands threatened lightly guards convoys.

By 1807RT Aragon was still in Dominion control and the frontline stagnated in the border that divides North Ephesus and South Ephesus until around 1830's rt.

The Ephesus front was one of the more stagnant theatres of the Great War. Soldiers from both sides dug lines of trenches all across the land while airships duelled and fell around them. It's a fascinating little fact that more ordinance and firepower tore up Ephesus than the entire Midwest theatre. Even counting the number of bombs dropped by Imania over Fusha and Estille.
