Description
YES I REMADE IT AGAIN . This time it's full HD (a little over actually since it's 16:10) and... better! I think, anyway. It was commissioned for the visual novel Rainbow Love , along with this , this and this .I addressed a few of the criticisms on my last version and as such there's now more detail on the blackboard wall (and the blackboard chalky-ness looks better), the view outside the window is better, the backs of the seats are of different values to the tops of the desks etc etc.
Notably I /didn't/ render line art for it. This was because a.) it keeps it consistent with other BGs belonging to the same VN and b.) my computer actually *can't* render it at this size. It is possible to break it up into smaller renders but that's a huge pain in the ass. Hopefully I'll be getting a new computer soon so that hardware is less of a bottleneck for me.

Hey dude! I know I didn't ask you for permission but I ended finding this on google and using it as a background for a deviation and just realized that I didn't have your word or credit you yet. Is it okay if I use it? If not then I'll take it down immediately. Again sorry, great art you have!

It's fine as long as it's non-commercial (i.e., it's not being directly sold or being used as part of something to produce money such as a thumbnail for a monetised video on youtube). Thanks for contacting me

Oh my... That's the kind of drawing I wanted to have for my visual novel *o*
I'm a bit jealous x)
I'm a newbie drawer and I don't know anything with perspective. How many erhm vanishing point have you used for the classroom? (not very sure about the translation point de fuite in French ^^'). Hope you understand anyway.

Thanks for the comment Your translation was spot on!
The best advice I can give for perspective (and this goes for almost any skill) is to look for lots of different tutorials on it so that you see it explained a lot of different ways. Of course that answer doesn't really address your question...
I actually made this background as a 3D model then rendered it and made adjustments + painted over it. So I didn't have to worry about perspective when making it. That being said, you can still extract the perspective from it by seeing where the parallel lines in the scene converge. I made an image for you to illustrate what I mean here . See how if you trace a line along the edges of the desk (the red lines) they all converge because they're parallel? And so do the ducts on the ceiling (which are also parallel to the edges of the desks.) Where they meet is where a vanishing point will be. And vanishing points for horizontal lines (i.e., things parallel with the ground) will always sit on the horizon, so you can work out the horizon line from that. The edges of the desk that are parallel to the blackboard (the green lines) can also be traced until they converge to a vanishing point, but it's really far away so I just cropped it out. Side note: Placing vanishing points closer together will result in a more distorted image. Having them further apart, like in this image, will look more natural.
In short, the scene is in 2 point perspective because the horizontal lines all converge to vanishing points, whereas the vertical lines in the image do not converge (at least not in a noticeable way).
Sorry for the long reply! I hope this helps

You're welcome about the comment ^^
Well, I have ever tried to look tutorials but the perspective still very hard to assimilate. Thanks a lot for your explanation and the image. I think it'll help me.
And don't worry for the time of reply, I don't think it was long at all
